HUNGRY TIMES 04:01
I always wanted to have a view on this city that I have been through from a quiet place in the distance where my thoughts turn in to silence now I'm just a coward with his gun pointin' the barrel at the sun I keep my boots on my feet, remember you vomiting on the car seat if I would say ‚I believe in you' we both know what you would do words we said by dimmed lamplight while I was trying to make you smile I can hear the factory down the line we shared hours of hungry times Beth was fixin' her hair in the mirror between sleeping creatures on the floor I saw the moon through the fire door, swimming above the tenements you were sleeping on the stairs and I pulled you to my dirty chest I spat into the air the plaster on your forehead slowly turned red a stronger flesh would surely come away, but we promised that we would get home safe and I was listening to the rain

MY GARDEN 03:06
horns are dulled, the pants are torn the world hides the sunlight, I'm bruised & worn times are restless, wild and fast how could it ever really last? your eyes were my place to sleep roots stretch through the concrete in armor, fields so dry and bare we march to the garden waiting there you are my garden I'll smell the flowers while I can knock and smile and pull me in the night dissolves against my skin show me your garden the vines have wrapped around my teeth long after the sun has gone the roses bloom every time I breathe I put my make up on, I proved my worth, keep biting my tongue this garden never meant to be for you and not for me down in my garden, oh, the wild things grow a cigarette and you are gone now I stand here all alone down in my garden

CRUISIN' 03:04
so when you found me in the red light horses were riding through the pines thumbed a ride with trembling eyes felt your belt on my neck from behind and that's alright you can lead the way home but don't wait for far too long and a bird flew by your face, so close it breezed your hair my arms were wide, your fingers they were tied to the pistols next to your side I didn't like the look on your face touched by the flashing lights the air hung on your lips I bit my nails to the flesh you said 'think of me when the sun goes down' and the violence of that moment cut through my skin and as we drove through the misty fields, looking for a place to hide our hunger, the dawn began to rise you gritted your teeth and I heard the locusts humming so loud I inhaled the smoke rising up from your eyes and your face disappeared in golden haze just a stolen bliss, the end of innocence

I think I've forgotten how to sleep, saw the flicker of your TV through the window across the street put my collar up and strolled into the dark again the gutter catches up with me it means nothing to me as I beat my cowardly retreat covered in empty streets covered in wet dreams when I stole your red black dress collision of desire and ignorance on the verge of filthiness all the hideous buildings leaning into emptiness everything that happened in the dark meant nothing to your heart and last year's rain didn't fall quite so hard caught in riveries of love & concrete

ENTLARVUNG 02:38

NOTHINGNESS 03:41
I came down from houston on a worn-out prayer greyhound blues and a thousand-yard stare ten cents for a phone call that no one will take a body grown numb from too much to break the sirens sung in fractured codes to boys who waved at me beneath the road cobwebs grow on your windowpane like lace spun out of rust and rain in the alleyways where we burned our clothes motel prophets selling death in gold someone said "you'll be okay" that was three cities and some pills away I saw god in a subway stall pissing against the wall wet leaves slept on your rooftop crown dead colors clung, the world fell down I talked to ghosts in the glow of the dash burning daylight for a chemical flash she laughed through her teeth, lit a match in the rain said ,you can't save yourself when you love the pain, this world was never meant to hold guys like us’ then she vanished like smoke from a greyhound bus there's a hole in the sky above 10th and vine where the streetlight flickers like a pulse in decline my hands don't shake - they float through the air like I'm not even here, like I was never there it's all slow motion now, like film left in the sun and I forget if I'm dying - or if I've already begun "I didn't sleep for six days. didn't care anymore if I did I was fifteen. I was flying. I was already lost"

our hands became thinner every night by candlelight and I'm the one that keeps the curtains closed in the night we put our lives on the line while the bedroom was on fire you were holding back tears, washed the blood off with your beer I locked the door only for psychological reasons and took the shadows from your dirty face I can't recognize myself in front of the broken mirror carnivorous faces between photos and the chairs I pulled the needle out while scorpions crawled up my neck and wiped the spit from your mouth with the back of my hand I locked the door only for psychological reasons and took the shadows from your dirty face while the birds forgot how to sing you carried the silence like a gun I will tear myself apart so I can stay with you and go just a prayer before the dawn is it fear or the sense to be alive? now we are seperate from gloom and beauty only two spirits of flesh in the cold air there's teeth beneath the velvet touch meant to be alone in tear gas dreams I lit a flare in the backroom haze and before melting back into the night I carved my name in rust and wire
