  • Found a really nicely priced '22 Bolt EUV in great condition with only 28k miles.

I really like it. It’s well equipped in features, zippy, has over 200mi of range. It also doesn’t “look” like an EV (IMO some manufacturers seem to think EVs have to look quirky or futuristic). In that same vein it also doesn’t fall into the other EV trap where everything is touchscreen and electronic. Traditional door handles, physical buttons for climate/volume/features.

The only drawback to a Bolt is that it doesn’t have stupid-fast DC fast charging. For most people they’ll charge at home and it won’t matter. (Actually, Bolts '22 and newer can home charge quicker than many cars if you’ve got the setup) But if you’re going on a road trip it could mean getting there slower. Takes about 45-50 minutes to charge. If you’re going 500 miles that’s not too bad, one stop for lunch and you’re set. If you’re going 5000 miles with any regularity, well it could be a deal breaker. If you need that look at some models like the Ioniq 5 which can charge in under 20min.

  • The point is that you’ve fallen for some idiots on X making up culture war bullshit.

Kit’s supposed pronouns aren’t mentioned by Mozilla anywhere in any Mozilla announcements.

One news site attributes this quote to Mozilla

Kit (he/she/they/them/it) is the user’s constant companion. Wherever they choose to roam, Kit will accompany and guide them with clever, playful encouragement and support — giving the user the confidence to run free.

That’s the one and only place that even remotely mentions it as far as I can tell. And it’s not even a statement that it’s NB or they/them… More like it’s a fictional mascot call it what you want.

Veins are small so capillary action keeps things in order.

With no gravity though you’ll have higher blood pressure to your head (and less to the legs)- it kinda makes astronauts faces a bit puffy. iirc this can slightly negatively affect vision long term.

Most of your body processes are in a small enough space that capillary action overtakes gravity.
