Gonna read the article, but wondering what this changes for say, fallout 4?
I’ve been using steamtinkerlaunch, so that I have mod organizer 2 with mods. I basically have to launch STL, then mo2 to play my modded fallout. I’d love to be able to just launch the modded fallout directly but each time I’ve tried anything it keeps launching fallout without the mods 🙃

Haven’t seen this mentioned, best way to prevent this is to fry the egg, make an omelette or even scrambled eggs 👀
I feel like that scene in Forest Gump with the shrimp

I did my part 👌

Well, got most stuff working
Fallout 4 with mods was a bit of a ball ache but seems to be working now (had to use steamtinkerlaunch to get mod organiser 2 working and then I could install mods from my downloads)
The mods being the most annoying to figure out how to get mod organiser 2 to work, since downloads from Firefox got cancelled or failed after a period of time [had to use Jdownloader for larger mods to reconnect of any network public] - I want to get the nexus mod links working on mod organiser 2 instead but an issue for another time

I live in Linux in work, it’s just come the evening I’ve genuinely been in the mindset of “launch game, play game”
The benefits of speed from Linux are finally pulling me over

I’m actually taking the plunge
I’ve basically reset my SSD entirely and have two partitions - 600GB for windows with FC / BF and then the remaining for Bazzite
So far it’s been easy breezy with steam and bazzite after the initial downloads (thankfully I have fast internet else I’d be back to waiting days 🥲)

I’m considering it a fair bit, fallout 4 and other games will work better on Linux at least

Nice!
I’ve been on windows for ages because of EA anti cheat which drives me nuts (I enjoy the random game of battlefield or FC with friends)
I really want to make the jump for other games like Sims 3 etc which this update is amazing for but EA enabling Linux will be the final nail to make me jump

That setting is no joke, I was pissed I didn’t enable it sooner
My machine went from 45+ seconds to 13 for boot

Can’t wait for fallout 4 script extender to need yet another update 🙃

Only thing holding me back is game companies not empowering stuff like battlefield
I daily drive Linux for work, just use windows to play some games in the evening

You son of a bitch, take my upvote 🫡

Love watching this game, hate playing it 🤣 (jump scares 🥲)

Then sell controllers without the features for a cheaper, get onboard experience (I’m still pissed about the kinect, I liked the idea of everyone having it, only for them to then sell consoles without it 🙃)

The base building is loads of fun, fair warning, consider “height” when building. I didn’t and learned the hard way 🤣
The base building is where I’ve sunk most my time, and then automation later on just became a bunch of fun (I completed one planet and then started on another for the dlc)
During a pepper shortage, I realised I eat alot of peppers. The prices went ridiculous near me (they are back to normal now but made for an interesting few weeks)

I’ve found it pretty reasonable compared to most games for the grind (if you upgrade the generators etc and then get automation up late game it’s been a blast)

Try planet crafter, similar feel for the bases, but what a game (I’ve been hooked since I started)
Yeah, and I’m on bazzite
It’s funny how some stuff is almost out the box but then it didn’t work for me (I actually would of gone with MO2 directly but once STL worked I couldn’t be arsed and just wanted to get in with gaming 🤣)
