But more importantly, all of the things Elan is planning to cut are going to hurt the poor and they didn’t say they were going to give any of that money to people, just that they were going to cut the deficit. If running the country like a business, you never cut income, even if you cut expenses. Businesses with monopolies keep the profits from reduced expenses, not pass them on to customers, that would be dumb.

I don’t get the logic of cutting off contributions of any kind unless they were actively sabotaging the projector something. Seems like that just makes the fork basically a guarantee. And in open source, a fork that discourages community is always going to be at a disadvantage.

And the impact of AI on the grid has been much more problematic than any renewable sources because it’s localized and its is sudden spikes in usage whereas spikes in generation can be mitigated with battery and capacitor tech. Be interested when they talk about things and ask questions. Engineers stereotypically have been told too many times that they need to dumb things down. And there’s a large percentage of neurodivergent people in software engineering who like to info-dump, but have been told their whole lives that they were boring or they overshare. But often when they are given the opportunity to share openly or even better, people show interest in learning, they usually will open up. It might take time, and it might take you getting a basic understanding of some technical topics so they don’t have to explain those basics to you to even start explaining their work.

I have worked as an analyst, product manager, project manager, engineer, and architect. So I tend to be really good at bringing business and technical people together by interjecting a few details that an engineer might skim over because it’s basic to them as well as interjecting business scenarios that a business person might consider obvious, but an engineer might get frustrates because it was never explained to them and they like to know “why”.

Not better detection and not tiktok in particular, better information available and less stigma allowing more people to out themselves. They have been really against truly modularizing Windows because of the lack of documentation partly due to the push of “agile” methodologies mixing with top down feature pushes and the effort required to create something that would support Windows applications in a way that users would understand. This doesn’t make any more sense than Windows phones made. They required way too many hardware resources and power to run a system that is designed to do a ton of things on a ton of different types of hardware. Handheld hardware needs specialized OS optimized for the platform and I doubt this will do that. It will likely have a ton of RAM and processing tied up in OS activities just like windows phones making everything slow and/or battery life really bad, but still not be able to run a lot of the stuff that would make this all worth it. Better to start with a more modular system like the base linux kernel and add only what is necessary than to start with the idea of supporting a ton of software and sacrificing the real purpose of the device (handheld gaming) to do it.

Satire is a necessary way to call out impropriety in Democratic society. The humor softens the blow of the reality of horrible acts and makes less horrible but still bad acts easier to understand. As long as it’s not saying things that are just totally without merit or using it purely to spread hate, it should be staunchly defended regardless of who is offended by it.

Example of bad satire is something like a cartoon of an LGBTQ+ person going to a psychiatrist and the psychiatrist saying it’s a mental illness and their head explodes. This is pushing the narrative that being gay is something to be cured and that gay people just can’t accept it. This can be considered satire, but like any type of speech it’s stating something designed to harm others. Satire is meant to over-exaggerate a problem, not make up a problem that doesn’t actually exist for the express purpose of hate.

It’s important to security because he wants to tear down the alliances with Canada and NATO. But the primary reason is to cash in on the natural resources without worrying about environmental laws if it’s an occupied territory.

4k thing may not be Netflix itself. There’s a ton of DRM that has to be working just right built into a lot of hardware and software. Many things can cause it to have issues and it’s designed to break if there is anything it considers abnormal. Problem is that it’s kinda, sorta new and hardware can’t be updated. Same issues happened with 1080p at the time. My PS3 HDMI port broke multiple times during warranty and then I gave up after it expired. Just the slight distortion caused by the defect made the TV and all the other devices decide it was being used to pirate content and so they refused to work. These days the devices are more stable and the media industry has stopped aggressively enforcing the DRM to be so aggressive. But they still are doing it with 4K. Any little bug in a driver, software, or hardware firmware and it falls back to 720p or 1080p if you’re lucky.

I’m still not entirely sure what you’re asking, but you are responsible for BOTH the cars in front of you AND not changing lanes with someone in your blind spot. Both accidents would be your fault if you hit someone from behind OR changed lanes while someone is already occupying it.

If there’s not enough time to look over your shoulder before you would be too close to the person in front of you, then you should slow down to maintain a safe distance from the person in front of you, THEN check your blond spot over your shoulder, THEN change lanes and re-accelerate. It sounds like this person was too close to the person in front of them and/or approaching them at too high of a speed differential to safely check their blind spot over their shoulder AND return their head to forward facing before getting too close.
