I would very much like Lemmy to be that, but unfortunately Lemmy hasn’t been here long enough or ‘active’ enough to be that sort of a repository. I still have to search on reddit to find any specialized info or even reviews or discussions on random stuff. Funnily, if I post the same question on Lemmy and reddit, pretty much 100% of the time I get better and more numerous answers here on lemmy compared to reddit. I can see that lemmy has the people with the answers, but we need more people with the questions.

Yeah I totally get your point. You’re preaching to the choir here. Funny thing is, even if my daughter comes across anything like that, she just assumes that’s normal. There’s a show she watched where a boy had two dads, and she never even asked me why there are two dads lol. My wife got into the YouTube deepend on many topics, so it’s pretty much impossible to change her mind about pretty much anything. Any time I try to go against her in any of the parenting choices, I immediately become a ‘bad dad’. At this point I’m smuggling contraband for my daughter.

She actually grew up here, but my wife is a ‘bit’ conservative, and doesn’t want to expose our daughter to the ‘bad parts’ of the western culture. That’s fine, but too much of anything is not a good thing, and it’s causing our daughter to grow up sheltered. (for instance, Craig of the Creek used to be her favorite show a couple of years ago, but my wife found out it has some queer representation in it, and banned her from watching it. I have to pick my battles, so I can’t argue with her for every single thing). Her friends are already starting to make fun of her for how ‘ignorant’ she is on some topics. I’m in a tough spot, but trying to do the best with what cards I’ve been dealt.

It’s worth mentioning that Bazzite is atomic, so it’s a hassle if you need to install any non flatpak stuff. Installing and setting up my canon laser printer driver was such a hassle I switched back to nobara.

I switched to cachyos recently from nobara, and I’m facing an annoying bug. I have a 2.1 sound bar connect to my monitor, which connects to my PC via display port. My audio keeps cutting out when watching movies on stremio or playing games on steam. It comes back whenever I press the volume key, but goes away when there’s silence or low volume. It also comes back automatically when there is a sudden increase in volume. For example, during bgm, the sound cuts off, but when somebody suddenly starts talking it comes back on, but not all the time, if that makes sense.

I only dried it after that picture. The print went fine for the most part after drying. The nose lifted up a bit, but that could also be the residue after I cleaned the bed.
