Oh, please. That’s nitpicking bullshit. Nobody is trying to downplay the pure evil the US have brought to the world for decades. But acting as if the Iranian regime isn’t as bad just because they don’t tallied the same numbers is idiotic. I’d argue it’s simply a lack of opportunity. All of those fuckers would make the world instantly better by dropping dead. That includes the governments in the US, Israel, Iran, Russia and China at the very least, plus a load of billionaires.

The Iranian government is a bunch of evil assholes, just like the Israeli and US governments. This is a case where the “both sides are equal” is true. It’s not long ago that the Iranian government murdered thousands of their citizens and they have been oppressing their people for decades. It’s just that they have been attacked by equally evil cunts.

Most people don’t seem to be able to view both sides as bad. I feel for civilians on all sides, because they are the ones dying and suffering. Caught between murderous assholes.
This trend of big tiddy fake images is glorious.

I’ve seen this before it I still find it hilarious. I love silly stuff.

After reading both the accusations and the dev response I don’t know who to believe. I love BookLore and have not encountered any issues, so I guess I’ll stick with it for now.

A book can just tell you what a character is thinking, your focus as a reader is always exactly where the writer wants it to be, because there is nothing to focus on but the words. None of that translates to movies. The broad rule for screenplays is that one page translates to one minute of runtime. You can’t directly translate a 400 page book into a screenplay. You must adapt it and make changes. Some are easy, because descriptions of how something looks like become an image. Others are difficult.

Books and movies have very different options and rules for storytelling. Changes must be made and those decisions will never make everybody happy. I realized at one point that a movie or show, even if it’s retelling a story from a book, will never match my expectations. It’s always just another entry in that stories universe. That allowed me to enjoy adaptations more.

This was a problem before Marvel or the Star Wars reboots. Execs will always go for what seems safer and an established IP with a fanbase is safer than something brand new. A tale as old as time.

Almost a quarter of those deaths were young children. That makes me so sad.

Well, both started out fine. It’s just that greed always drives everything down the shitter.

Apparently it’s just about another Targaryen, not about characters in the show.

I very much disagree. It’s not a good show. It’s great if it works for you, but if one is looking for at least a semblance of cohesive storytelling the show is just so bad. The miniseries the remake started with was very good. The show started off OK, but as it went on, it was so damn obvious that the writers had no plan and just made up dumb shit from episode to episode. Everybody’s a Cylon and I quit somewhere early into the last season because I just got so angry with each new episode.

Isn’t this only true if the outer square’s size is not an integer multiple of the inner square’s size? Meaning, if you have to do this to your waffle iron, you simply chose the dimensions poorly.

I don’t care much about the gore. But the stress, sadness and drama of an emergency room aren’t something that spark joy in me.

I hate Battlestar Galactica so much. The original mini series was amazing. But when it got picked up, it quickly became obvious that the writers had no idea what they were doing and just made shit up from episode to episode. It was so bad. From what I’ve heard, Lost is another example of this. It’s one of the reasons why I prefer movies. The entire story is clear from the get go and there is no creative bullshit happening for no reason. This is one of the reasons why Chernobyl and Andor are so damn good, because the story was complete before they started shooting. I think it’s better now in the age of streaming.

I mean, I appreciate realism. But I’ve seen too many clips from actual doctors saying The Pitt is too real and I don’t need that in my life.
Well, so much for my retirement.
