If you were using VB6 just 2 years ago then it’s pretty clear to me that you were in a niche, and the exception rather than the rule.

If you’re a software Engineer and you’re not using AI, there’s a high chance you will be unable to find good work in the near future.
Software engineering has always been a race to stay on top of the latest trends in technology to stay relevant in the market.
Expecting engineers to not use AI on their own pet projects is unrealistic.

Bloodborne
Having played this through including the DLC years ago on my PS4 I recently find that this can be emulated quite well on the PC now. When I say quite well I mean 3440 x 1440 at 60FPS, it’s incredible!
I’m going for an Arcane build this time which is quite a different pkaystyle from the more frantic parry and dodge that you would normally have, but it’s lots of fun.
Just killed the Bloodstarved Beast and got the first Chalice, so I’m entering the dungeons next.

Yeah they’re fairly decent games, and as you notes there is quite a bit of workshop content.
As well as the original SNES game being reproduced someone has also remade Shadowrun Returns in either the Dragonfall or Hong Kong workshops, so playing Returns that way will help with a lot of that Janko you mentioned.

I think you misunderstand my point.
I’m not saying I want to have bad impractical controls.
I’m saying I enjoy it when devs take risks and put in more specific control schemes. A lot of Nintendo games try this for example and it works really well.
I’m a big tinkerer on Steam Input and will often change control schemes to help make it more comfortable and immersive.

Although I do miss interesting control schemes, everything is almost homogenous now and quite boring.
Too Human was an interesting case point. Though not a terribly successful game, they did try and make a control scheme to benefit their gamers.
The game is an ARPG which wasn’t common on consoles at the time, and more often played on PC with mouse and keyboard. The developers knew that players would spend hours on the game and needed a low impact way of playing that type of game with a controller.
They created a control scheme that relied almost entirely on just the two joysticks, moving and attacking and some special moves could all be handled with small movements, this made long gaming sessions comfortable, and far better than button mashing and getting RSI in your thumb joints 😅
I think Flycast is the most popular one now

Yeah that’s the issue then, as you correctly identified HD audio is not possible with microphone over a normal Bluetooth protocol. All other devices seem to have some kind of dongle and use a proprietary local wireless protocol instead.

I have a set of Sony’s and I have to use an external mic otherwise it sets the device to hands free mode and the sound quality I hear is terrible, and in mono I think.
Keep the device in headset mode and any codec will do. I haven’t found much difference.

What, so TypeScript?

Console or PC? I’m on PC and my experience is totally different, I can go a whole night without a gunfight.

Posted on November 19th almost a month before the Steam Deck verified patch

Yes this is based on the original module, and is a repackage of the game that came out years ago, not technically a remaster.

It’s more like a reformat, the devs didn’t have access to the original source code, and the original game was delisted and didn’t run on modern systems, even the GoG version is problematic.
This is more like a repackage with mods, it actually includes some content from a large modding community called Circle of 8, and the devs donated $10,000 to a charity on their behalf as a thank you.

Dune: Children of Dune
So I’m aware of the major plot device in God Emperor Dune, the 4th book and I really wanted to find out how we get there. I’ve finally got to the last few chapters in Children of Dune and just read what happens to young Leto. It’s so cool, I really hope there is some kind of promotion in the upcoming movie that hints at this scene or its outcome. I’m excited to read the next book, and I’ll probably stop there.

It’s both, so what’s your point?

Have you heard of any dates when it might be released yet?
The Dishonoured games and Prey by Arcane Studios actually bothered to make proper Steam Controller configs and use the proper glyphs too, it makes a difference
