You don't invite users to Atlassian Guard directly (at least not in my experience), but Atlassian Guard facilitates single sign-on and user and group syncing by connecting with an identity provider.
Can you advise a bit more on how you have things set up (a screenshot, even with blurred details, helps) and what you're trying to accomplish?
