postthispostthat one of my favourite sections of music is 49 mins in, to 60 mins, of the live autechre milan set. on youtube if you want to listen. its a seriously mental cacophony of the meanest kickass beats ive yet to hear (barring phutures 'acid traxx' of course) but the point is, this CH track is not unlike that section of music and im extremely pleased to have found this. nice one. killer. 👊🏻 Favorite track: Sercante.

alternating.bit An EPIC collection of Halifaxian goodness. Thanks for making this available. While I was a devoted follower of the Deep Earth line I eventually had to jump ship and so I'm very grateful to be able to obtain this outstanding sampling of year six.

about

Throughout the almost twenty years of Coppice Halifax recordings, a number of patterns have emerged again and again, sometimes without my awareness of this happening until well after the fact. The Invisible Continent collects twelve sessions I initially recorded across all twelve months of 2021, privately released to the subscribers of the Deep Earth series as they came to pass.

Usually, my preference is to keep such material exclusive to the series, where it originated, but these twelve EPs continually resurfaced in my mind, until I realized somewhere along the line that this was a coherent set of deep techno music that absolutely follows the lineage of things like Static Pharming and Astral Salons.

So it was decided to make an exception to my usual rule, and release this set as its own series, which is what you see here. I think anyone who enjoyed Static Pharming or Astral Salons will find a lot to explore here, and I encourage listeners to consider these twelve EPs as a sort of ghostly sibling to those runs. A surrealistic echo, returning years after the original signal has vanished.

The full set has been made available for a "nice price" of only $22 for the digital series, although individual EPs may be purchased for $5.55 each. Additionally, a very limited physical edition is on offer, with four separate discs in stickered sleeves, similar to the Leaf Cloak reissue set from earlier this year.
