In the winter of '99, a young girl's father is killed in a vicious wolf attack. Five years later, the girl returns to the forest to seek revenge on the wolf that killed her father.

i remember just originally seeing the full-page spread on my dash and thought it was gorgeous, having no idea about a comic. seeing i think the last chance to nab a physical copy, i jumped and i'm so happy i did <3
my copy is sitting waiting till next week now, when it's gonna be me and my butch's anniversary going to the bar she took me to on our first date, where we both got out a lil book/comic to trade w/o planning to hehe.
and this is what im gonna pull out this time. she's a comic illustrator, and my wolf, and i know how deep the comic's themes will touch. looking forward to it, thank you <3

I came here from a recommendation post on Pillowfort and I'm so glad I did! I loved the visceral imagery and the rhythm of this story - the image of the closed/opened door and the image of the father changing over the course of the story is so good! The narrator's voice is so strong, and I'm glad they have a good ending.

i think this comic introduced me to shortbox, it was the year i was unemployed so i was unable to purchase it and i regretted it so much. so when i saw you advertising a printed version i JUMPED at it!!! owning a physical copy has genuinely been such a delight, such a visceral story with gorgeous artwork! to anyone on the fence about purchasing: buy 10 copies. do it. coward.
