Jørgen A blistering opus of epic, frantic and magnificent Heavy Metal that blends elite guitar mastery with some unforgettable vocals and unbreakable rhythms. This album is tight, but authentic. It shines as a unique example of a lost sound where shredders had their own personality on guitar and used it to forge a fantastic element within a strong band with actual songs. www.nattskog.com Favorite track: The Quickening.

They’ve scratched into stone chambered walls sonnets and poems No key to decipher the code, of legends, of lore, of webs they have wove To tangle ourselves into knots ‘til we fall right down the hole To where no map can carry a man, To where no man can call his home Light gives light, to light discover light Beware of the warning signs, the magick it fades at night Light gives light, to light discover light Beware of the warning signs, the magick it fades at night for the blind We’ve latched onto the first familiar thing that we know How to trust the eyes of a crowd Tell me what to think, how to feel, what to know Then rob us of sight until we’re blind, ‘til we fall right down the hole To where no map can carry a man, To where no man can call his home Light gives light, to light discover light Beware of the warning signs, the magick it fades at night Light gives light, to light discover light Beware of the warning signs, the magick it fades at night for the blind There are things of dreams under the crust of the earth Of Kings and Queens who ruled this place first The weird giants sleep, we mustn’t be heard Beware my warning or the magick fades away Do you dare look into the glass? Where lesser men prevail where the greater would stand The measure of your being is the martyr of dreams But the weight that you carry should be lighter than the feathers you preen So you walk along brimstones to the looking glass To see an elegant frame - but nothing looks back You’re lost in the minutia where the Devil lies But you’ve always been here - you were just closer to the sky If we’re soon to die At least we’ll fall not far from the Earth Because we’re less in size So lighter we’ll fall on the turn At the quickening, it comes alive Just to fade before your eyes Oh because the magick fades away

Direct your fears, not to the pawn of the game For the Devil lies deep within the actor on the stage Surely no small deed has brought me to this place I’m fettered to an iron collar of a purgatory I’m searching for the means to find myself to strength To finish what I’ve started here, I must play the game A cold gaze passes through me solemnly With frozen eyes smiling mirthlessly Petrified in the light We are victims of the night I heed the word of the Master of Games But I rue the day that the pieces fall in place I’m at your beck and call, on my knees before a wavering stage At the apex of the mountains in your subreality Direct your fears not to the pawn of the game For the Devil lies deep within the actor on the stage I awake with eyes turned blind, trapped somewhere between First and second sight Of spit and clay is the key, to our nightmares and our dreams Draw the curtains to see eyes staring back at me A cold gaze passes through me solemnly With frozen eyes smiling mirthlessly Petrified in the light We are victims of the night Master of the Games I’m not sure who is to blame, Am I Master or am I Slave? And I’m not sure when this game will end, If the night never turns to day But surely no small deed has brought me to this place I’m fettered to an iron collar of a purgatory I’m searching for the means to find myself to strength To finish what I’ve started here, I must play the game A cold gaze passes through me solemnly With frozen eyes smiling mirthlessly Petrified in the light We are victims of the night I heed the word of the Master of Games But I rue the day that the pieces fall in place I’m at your beck and call, on my knees before a wavering stage At the apex of the mountains in your subreality

Exiled to an isolation, disavowed by my own kind Shanghaied from all I love, my life and what I’ve left behind My only sin to speak is my piety, I believe There’s no answers for what I seek There’s no hole for the key I once found love in darkness, Never looking, never wondering The answers to the questions or what the hell they mean A dumb smile affixed upon me, little beings with their opaque minds Send love back home - I’m not alone! I’ve made contact of the third kind But had I known my last words to speak was back in the seed I’d have chosen wisely - but now there’s no one left to hear my plea So I’m back to chasing down the dream Every evening at the bottom of the cleft So I’m back on the secrets that you keep From a man of the crucifix But not of the cruciform In the walls of the labyrinth you expose me to truth Had me stripped of my wit and playing the fool But you keep your distance, lest your secrets revealed Never giving no warning of how good it’d feel Exiled to an isolation, disavowed by my own kind Shanghaied from all I love, my life and what I’ve left behind I’m just a shell, so to speak, with a whisper of humanity I recede, there’s no answers that I seek Now that the enlightened ones have told me

You call me a vagrant, tramp, a down and out On a celestial sort of a soiled dream Through the eye of the Cyclops you peer out the looking glass Way up in the stars, do you see as I see? Only black and horrible things I can’t be proud, the time for that has come and passed Couldn’t say I’ve given even half of what I’ve had But I lay awake wondering how long can it last Sixty-five to twenty-three but I can’t escape the past Heart of Athene, cold hard and frayed On the Arion I can do no harm, so I put myself away The pale of the horse, you fear the worst But I’m just a jester and this court is my curse Marauder of the sky, marooned at heart I was protector once in time gone far But that was long ago So many moons I’ve past, so many memories But that’s just not enough Maybe I could dim the starlight’s glow that blinds my eyes Let me know there’s still something To keep me hanging on Heart of Athene, cold hard and frayed On the Arion I can do no harm, so I put myself away The pale of the horse, you fear the worst But I’m just a jester and this court is my curse Marauder of the sky, marooned at heart I was protector once in time gone far Remind me why I left, or maybe why I came To live just to be left, when I could have walked away What are the limits of a man who dance among the graves Then buries his head in the sand or tries to run away The mare is on the moon, she danced the night away In shards of crystal hewn, I see reflections of her face Now the sandglass is on it’s side, I hang my head in shame Because even if I tried, there’s nothing I could say

In here the world slips away, Inscribed on stone walls are mendacious games we all love to play These castle walls sing songs for the souls that they claim But all you hear is the clashing of chains, calling you… Into the Archway I once saw the quell of the moon through the eye of the putlog hole Awakened my memory of a man who lived here so long ago But I filled it with the sand just to quiet the dream If dark is all that you have, then darkness is all that you need Try and hold a candle to the halls of this great maze But Hell is all I see A rabbit’s warren or labrynthiform - am I making it harder to leave? Everyone is watching, but nobody is looking at me What kind of god would orchestrate a brick and mortar beast? I once saw the quell of the moon through the eye of the putlog hole Awakened my memory of a man who lived here so long ago Fill me with song, just to feel something These walls echo a tune while the Citadel and I sing Try and hold a candle to the halls of this great maze, No cardinal point or ordinal guide, there’s no rhyme to these rational things A rabbit’s warren or a labrynthiform, am I making it harder to leave? Everyone is watching, but nobody is looking at me What kind of spell would it take to set me free? Suffering unto the guests who dare to serve the realm Hell knows no rest, until you tear me from this helm They called me Lusus Naturae, left to die and locked away But I wouldn’t change a goddamn thing, the view is nice wouldn’t you say? In here the world slips away, Inscribed on stone walls are mendacious games we all love to play They say that these castle walls sing songs for the claimed But all you’ll hear is the clashing of chains, calling you… Into the Archway

Sentinel at the spire, you’re losing your mind here Keep alert, watching Titans dance until the dusk sweeps you away And then you’ll expire to brimstone and fire, peacefully When the ashes clear you will be just a memory Left without a trace, there is nothing Our existence, up for debate and you ask me, Were we ever even here? [The Sentinel:] “Child of the light, infinite, and you, A smile drawn at the last eye of dawn, Freed from the flower of light and life” Sentinel at the spire free your mind Empty your trove and write Until you’re free from the burdens of life You left us a book with one page missing But the remainder, another cuneiform mystery What can I say, what can I do? The records you keep are only kept here for you What can I say, what can I do? The records you keep die here with you [The Sentinel:] “The missing page is the key To reveal the words I speak So take the words you know And match them to symbol” Sentinel at the Spire you call me tonight, I’ve been watching the mysteries you’ve tasked yourself to scribe Lemurian seeds and Atlantean dreams, Dance in the seams of the records you keep Sentinel at the Spire, you’re losing your mind here Keep alert, watching Titans dance until the dusk sweeps you away And then you’ll expire to brimstone and fire, peacefully When the ashes clear you will be just a memory Left without a trace there is nothing Our existence, up for debate, would you answer me What can I say, what can I do? The records you keep are only kept here for you What can I say, what can I do? The records you keep die here with you [The Sentinel:] “The missing page is the key To reveal the words I speak So take the words you know And match them to symbol”

I’m finding it hard to sleep, Knowing what going on under my feet Keeping quiet in secrecy Until the heralds call for me So into the darkness we lead To the gallows of wool-gathered dreams Into the darkness we lead Beyond the pillars of obscurity Do we hide behind the comfort of a lie? Are we the same, you and I? When we’re lying naked in the night So into the darkness we lead To the gallows of wool-gathered dreams Into the darkness we lead Beyond the pillars of obscurity Light the flame and look to the Tower of Dreams! No surface dwellers can see the things that I can see No mercy for the sound of mind We’ll find the blind and gouge out their eyes So they can see what lies behind The darkness of their eyes, thin fabric veiled lies With their vacant gazes, absent minds No one’s looking for the pleasures that we hide Inside our fortress on high We’re casting pearls to the swine As they feed amongst the troughs with the flies Smoke and mirrors in the night, Clouded judgment, doubt in my eyes I’ve lost what I’m trying to find A hidden key, lost memory Forgotten past, or distant dream I only see what I’m wanted to see By the Tower of Dreams They’re calling me Seven sounds, seven trumpets One-by-One To a distant star Mount the steed and ride forth into the dark This Tower of Dreams will see you lost amongst the stars No mercy for the sound of mind We’ll find the blind and gouge out their eyes So they can see what lies behind… …a man out of time
9.
Look behind there’s nothing to find I can see only dark, no more light Stone warrior waits here at night Patiently, he watches the time Did I wait too long, or did I get it right? I can’t be a soldier, I’m just a man out of time A sword is worn down to a knife Dulled the blade on either side Snuffed the flame, doused the light But all the winds of time were on my side And the count is off but still I lead… My left hand trembles When the right could show such terrible things But they’re holding me down Pointing back to the pillars of obscurity There’s a heart inside the stone As the chisel strikes and the hammer swings A horrible sound As the clock tick ticks and the bell tower sings I’m a man out of time In the land of the blind A man out of time Lost in the thralls of night All I can see now Dark shadows loom that the giants cast I’m sharing my footprints Though I know this step could be my last Architects and sculptors, I’m the orphan child you left behind So cast me to the pillars Just to keep me alive Sculpt me to stone In memoriam Slowly it goes Until the Bell Tower Tolls I’m a man out of time In the land of the blind A man out of time In the land of the blind Armed to teeth We stand as Soldiers of Obscurity Soldiers of inerrancy

about

True, cult, uncompromising heavy metal from Detroit, Michigan!

The sophomore effort from Detroit, Michigan pillars of classic metal Demon Bitch, Master of the Games is a nine-song effort that is unmatched and unpredictable!

An eight-year buffer between studio albums left Detroit, Michigan true metallers Demon Bitch with one, singular option: To be as uncompromising as possible. While there was an assortment of lessons learned along the way, Demon Bitch used their time wisely to ensure their sophomore Master of the Games long-player turned out exactly like they wanted. Recorded in Lansing, Michigan between 2022 and 2024 under the watchful eye of George Szegedy, Master of the Games evokes the raw, obscure feelings of underground power and classic metal and captures it throughout nine songs of timeless glory.
Demon Bitch features several members of the heralded White Magician within its ranks, including vocalist Logon Saton, the guitar tandem of Lord Mars and Solon Saton and Drummer Master Commander. The band is rounded out by returning bassist B. Beastmaster, who was featured on the 2014 Death is Hanging… EP.
At its core, Master of the Games is a chaotic offering of obscure and underground U.S. power metal and classic heavy metal with some eclectic moments ranging from 1970s sensibilities to more extreme influences. The over-the-top approach found on the band’s Hellfiends debut remains, although Demon Bitch has injected several epic moments to make the album even more dynamic. And it’s all tied together by lyrical themes of fantasy, legends and lore, highly disputed claims about the world around us, mystery, secrecy and the unknown captured through ominous, esoteric and dark romantic expression. According to Logon, the stories told in the lyrics are “left pretty open for interpretation in most cases, but I certainly think there’s some interesting concepts for you to look into.”
The album’s artwork was handled by Logon, who wanted to complement some of the more esoteric and mysterious aspects that Master of the Games encompasses, both lyrically and musically. He was working on both the lyrics and the artwork around the same time period, so he spent a lot of time staring at the painting while writing and thinking of ideas. This helped to inspire some lyrical passages in songs like “Sentinel at the Spire,” “Tower of Dreams” and “Soldiers of Obscurity.”

The release of Master of the Games was preceded by Demon Bitch’s first-ever European dates. The band played Chaos Descends in Germany—a festival populated by some of the truest diehards in the metal scene. Demon Bitch also played a few exclusive club shows in Vienna and Croatia. Not surprisingly, the response was universally positive. And, now, with the release of Master of the Games around the corner, the next phase of Demon Bitch’s career begins. Let the games begin!
