Christmas Mantle and Hearth, 2019

Good morning! Today I am sharing our mantle and hearth, decorated for Christmas. Come on in. I wish you could actually come visit!
At dusk I light all the lights and love the glow!

I love to sit and just enjoy the decorations. I should have lit the fire for you!

The 2 Santas on the elephants are hand made by a woman in Texas. These 2 are both Polish Santas. The one on the left we gave to Joe's parents and inherited it back after they both passed away. The one on the right was the first one we bought for ourselves. We have 2 more I will show you in another post.

They both have a polish doll and the writing on the bottom says they were made in Krakow.

This guy is a Joyce Ditz Santa, he is pulling his wagon of trees.

Thanks so much for your visit. Merry Christmas everyone!
XO, Pinky

Yes, I am Decking the Halls!!!

Yes, I have started decorating! I wanted to get a very early start  so that I am able to ENJOY it all for awhile. The Christmas season is way too short for this girl:) I love this sweet, sparkly deer. I have a "thing" for deer.
This is an antique Santa. I have a large collection of Santas as I started collecting them over 30 years ago.
The snowmen have returned to the breakfast room. I think this may be the last year for them. I am TRYING to purge a little:)
I set a fun table for us too.
A faux boxwood ball in a blue and white pot and embellished for the season.
I love my Snowman lamp and the plaid shade.
Part of the hearth at night.
 LOVE my animal print ornaments.
I found these LED snowball lights at CTS last year.
The window sills in the breakfast room get embellished to hide the cords:)
Thanks so much for your visit. Have you started yet??? I used to wait til the day after Thanksgiving but I was killing myself trying to get it all done FAST! You all know I do A LOT!!!

One More: The Man Cave:)

We hosted Christmas, downstairs this year. I realized I don't think I have shared the decorations down there. I know a lot of you have taken yours down but I usually wait til at least the 6th. So, here you go! At the bottom of the stairs is this vignette.

I found this vintage sled last year in an antique shop, in the summer!
 The sitting area.

I got the VW pillow because we had a VW bug when we first got married.

I think I found the ceramic trucks at Target, this year. The runner came from Christmas Tree shops.
Joe bought this piece even before we moved in here. He knew he wanted it for this space. He decorates it at Christmas with his collection of Willey Ray pieces.
The Santa in the corner is made of bark and burlap. I embellished it with lights, some birds etc. Joe made his eyeglasses from wire:) A close up is further down this post.
The rocker came from Lancaster county, made by the Amish.
I set up the bar (and the table) for our Christmas dinner.
Joe has some decorations on the bar shelves too.
Some of his favorite things sit on the shelves at Christmas.

I took some nighttime shots with the lights on for you too. That is a wicker sled that I have had for MANY years! I decorated it with the lights, greens, pinecones and deer.

 Isn't he neat!??

This is Joe's "critter tree". I keep adding to it each year for him.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you had a wonderful New Years. We had 2 parties that we went to.
Wishing you all love, peace and good health this coming year. I am looking forward to sharing more fun things through the year.

XO, Pinky

Christmas Mantle and Hearth

Happy Wednesday everyone! This year we decided to retire the wreath with the deer that has hung on our fireplaces for too many years! So, we have a new look this year and I love it. I got the Santa picture at Kirklands several years ago and it hung in the hallway between our offices. I brought it out of hiding to feature here! Since the picture is of Santa, I am using some of my favorite Santas on the mantle too.
I also got a new garland this year, the old one was very tired too. This is fuller and has a mix of greens, pinecones, berries etc. I love it. I did add some magnolia leaves that I had.
I also embellished the garland with some pretty picks of gold leaves, berries, balls etc. 2 of my lit trees are featured too.

On the hearth I continued the Santa theme.
I added the gold lacy deer, some golden trees and some candles on silver pots.
This is a Joyce Ditz Santa on a bike and carrying some trees.

All of these Santas evoke memories for me. I remember where or when we bought them. I have been collecting Santas for many years.
This guy is a favorite: he is a faux Belsnickle Santa. I have 2 real ones that I treasure.
The 2 Santas on the mantle were made by a lady in Texas. This is one of 2 Polish Santas. She would research what a Father Christmas would have worn and replicate that. She sent us the literature with the Santa. This one and the other on the other side are carrying dolls that were made in Kracow, Poland!
This is the other Polish Santa.

Some of the lights on the mantle have these pretty flower covers that I love.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I know how busy everyone is at this time.
XO, Pinky
