Infoday - GenAI Meets Public Administrations

This online infoday focuses on a Digital Europe Programme call building the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and public administration ecosystem in Europe. It will share information and facilitate consortia-building.

5 people collaborate on a large lightbulb idea, symbolising innovation and problem-solving

The call Apply AI: GenAI for the public administrations - DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-GENAI-PA (deadline 3 March 2026) is a coordination and support action (CSA), funded under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP). The call targets stakeholders from higher education institutions, research and technology organisations, civil-society organisations, non-governmental organisations, and other interested stakeholders. It will fund one proposal with 1.8 million euros with a 100% funding rate over 36 months.

As part of the Apply AI Strategy focus on competitiveness and technological sovereignty, this call will accompany the GenAI pilot projects co-funded by the DEP call DIGITAL-2025-AI-08-SUPPLY-AI. These pilot projects will collaborate closely with the CSA and together will build the emerging European GenAI & public administration ecosystem. The action has 3 main objectives:

  • Enhancing the scalability and replication of successful GenAI pilot solutions
  • Identifying common needs from public administrations for GenAI solutions “Made in Europe” & connecting them with European start-ups
  • Deepening the collaboration among public administrations across Member States to lay foundation of a sustainable GenAI community
