Reminds me of the imagery from Enders Game when he plays the game on his tablet and kills the giant and watches the body change overtime.
That’s exactly what I thought when I saw it! Such a fun novel and sequels. Author is a toolbag, but the books are good.
It was disappointing to learn he was a brainwashed Mormon. He did writing for The Secret of Monkey Island game too.
