  • If you’ve grown up as a kid only having access to the internet in the last 6 years or so, yeah I could see how Idiocracy might be shocking. The dialog in that movie is the antithesis of the status quo nowadays. For a kid without context about the satirical and parodical nature of the film, they might think that the movie was endorsing that kind of language.

It would take some guidance from a guardian on what it means, why its relevant, and why its actually become important over time.

Its a required watch in my mind.

  • I also main the Stratos. It seems to be the best behaved out of all the RWD cars. The Alfa is abysmal though, which is a bummer because I love those old Alfas. It’s like the throttle response is exponential or something. It really feels like its all or nothing with a very tiny midrange. The Alfa on snow in Monte Carlo is undriveable because the throttle is so unpredictable. It should be easier to control the throttle compared to the Stratos but its the opposite.

Niels Heusinkveld has had a few good chats about it on his youtube channel, if you’d like to hear someone with credentials speak about it.

  • You’re criticizing NASA, a public entity, as if they are in the same club as the billionaires making phallus-shaped rockets and putting pop stars into space. They’re not the same.

Also, the Artemis Program’s entire budget so far, over the span of ~ a decade is 93 billion. The US spends 997 billion on its war machine every single year.

Maybe they could bomb, shoot, or invade 10% less in the future and give that money to support those in need?
