Thet was likely overzealous religious folk. Because it had magic and witches it was deemed by them to be demonic. I’m quite sure they would be surprised to learn the author of the books they hated was an ally for one of their other beliefs.

2·5 days agoThey don’t exactly have any good choices now that Trump has truly gone off the deep end. Vance isn’t going to be able to inspire the rabid mob like Trump could, but he’s their only card to play.
They hooked all their hopes on Trump lasting a few more years and now they’re going to go down with him.
Now the “station master’s” wife can come in and do nothing while the “secretary’s” husband does all the work.

10·5 days agoThe problem patents were solving was an inventor creating something and having it completely taken over by a well funded company leaving said inventor penniless. They created a new problem, though, when the well funded companies realized they could just buy all the patents and force everyone else to pay them while holding those ideas hostage.

We’ve learned rather a lot since then.
