1·2 years agoThank you!
LollerCorleone@kbin.socialto/kbin meta@kbin.social•Last few days are the least functional kbin has been for me since the July exodus. Just me?
2·2 years agoThanks for all the hardwork you are putting in! In the long term, you could consider setting up a kbin.social status page?

Reddit Migration@kbin.social•So... it's been a while now since the great exodus. How are you all doing my fellow refugees?
1·2 years agoThat’s a general issue with the internet, and is not just a fediverse issue. In fact, fediverse gives you the power to move to instances with moderation policies that you like, rather than forcing you to use a centralised platform.

9·2 years agoYou are generalizing too much here. I know many who have tried out a product only after seeing its ad. Ads can give plenty of returns to brands. But targeted ads which even exploits our most intimate conversations are really bad news for our right to privacy.

World News@lemmy.world•Poll shows Palestinians back Oct. 7 attack on Israel, support for Hamas rises
329·2 years agoMost Palestinians alive today were born into what is practically an open-air prison that is cordoned off by Israel. Being oppressed is all they have known. Its obvious that they hate their colonisers. And all these bombings will only fuel that hatred.

I am not sure, if it is part of this problem but I am running into the “Error 50x page” a lot today while upvoting posts.

World News@kbin.social•Israel-Palestine war: Israeli forces destroy central archive of Gaza city
2·2 years agoHorrific! This is irredeemable damage! I doubt any of those records were digitised considering the limited resources of authorities in Gaza. These are historical documents that can never be recovered. What a shame!

Threadiverse is still in its nascent stages of development, and it is even earlier stages for kbin. Anyone who have been around in the internet long enough knows that these issues are common at this stage. People who are complaining are failing to realise that this is still just a passion project of a single individual who is really not making any real profits in return, and is not a multi-billion enterprise with server farms of its own across the world. Even Reddit and Twitter had lots of such hiccups when they started out.
Thanks for all the work you are doing, Ernest! Always happy to be here!
