111·1 month agoI still can’t get over what a bad choice Chris Pratt is for this character. He puts zero effort in disguising his voice to be Mario. It’s just him reading from a script in his regular voice. He does one “wahoo!” in this trailer, are we supposed to applaud him for putting in the effort that one time? Sorry, just ranting… If you understand Italian or don’t mind subtitles, Mario’s voice in the Italian dub is great. Other than that, looking forward to this movie.
I haven’t had much time to play recently. But since last time I posted, I finished River City Saga: Three Kingdoms. I got the sequel, “Next”, but I’m saving it to play later.
I played and finished Earthworm Jim 2 on Nintendo Online SNES. This game has amazing style, graphics and silly funny stuff. But the game play is sometimes not great and it becomes pretty hard. I wouldn’t had had the patience to finish it without the rewind and save states on Nintendo Online I think. The puppy stages are particularly hard and devastating when you miss a puppy.
I am also playing a little bit of Parodius Da! almost every day on my Famicom. I’m trying to finish a run without losing any lives and going through all the secret bonus stages.
Finally I also played some Tetris and Wario on the Virtual Boy. It’s fun and the games are good, but I just find it hard to find a comfortable position with the Virtual Boy for longer than a few minutes at a time. No wonder it was hard to sell back then. Where’s my strap!? I want the VB stuck to my face! 🤣

Yeah and it’s great they have all the different versions! I’m curious about playing Silver Surfer, but the only reference I have is Angry Video Game Nerd’s video on it 😂
Yeah, I got the physical version and really enjoyed it. But as you said, there are so many others, that it kind of got drowned out. I haven’t played it in a while! I know there was at least one more update with free content before this one, so there’s a few new things to check out.

I kept playing River City Saga: Three Kingdoms. I finished a couple of chapters and got some really cool powerups. I hope to finish the main story before I get the sequel.
Seeing the sad news about Kazuo Sawa made me nostalgic for the classic Kunio-Kun games. The music in these games is amazing and some of these tunes are burned into my memory. I booted up Double Dragon & Kunio-kun: Retro Brawler Bundle on my Switch. I played mostly Kunio-Kun No Nekketsu Soccer League, the best football game ever made in my humble opinion. I used to play this on the Famicom when I was a kid. The music is so good and the game is so much fun!
I also got my Nintendo Classics Virtual Boy delivered today, but I won’t be able to play any games until the app releases on the 17th. I played it at a friend’s house in the 90’s, so it’ll be interesting to relive that. I’m looking forward to trying out Wario and Teleroboxer.
There’s been rumors about a new Rayman. if they were true, this would be one of the two new Rayman projects Ubisoft has been working on for this year.
Same here! I’m liking this new direction way more (though sometimes I miss Juan Ferreyra’s awesome art too).
Yes, I guess they might have a different version for each console. But their Kickstarter shows the Nintendo Switch logo.

Yes 😆 It looks lile they’re building on the same engine as Three Kingdoms, but the attacks look different on this one. It’ll be interesting to play after Three Kingdoms!
2·2 months agoPeople find such random stuff to get worked up about. I really liked the episode, the storytelling, animation and action are spectacular as usual. I hope we get a blu-ray boxset with the three seasons and an art book eventually 🤩
Yeah, there’s been a lot of River City games, which I’m thankful for! I already got Three Kingdoms Next which I read improves on a lot of stuff. I’ve played both original River City Girls too, I’m looking forward to whatever comes next after Three Kingdoms.
About Darksiders, I played the first one on Switch in 2019, and I enjoyed it. It felt like an older school Zelda 3D game. Since then I’ve been thinking of getting Darksiders II on Switch, but never got around to it. It’s usually found rather cheap, so I still might get it. I might try it out this year and then check out Darksiders III after I read your post!
I recently played Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on the Switch 2 to check out the latest updates. I almost instantly remembered why I abandoned it 🤣 I was on the last world (I think), and it just feels unfairly difficult, and I never really clicked with the feel of the controller. So I don’t know if I’ll come back to it with more patience at some point or what. Never made it that far in Tropical Freeze.
Today is the 35th anniversary of the first introduction of Street Fighter II to arcades. To celebrate, I’ll be playing some fights of Street Fighter II in any of its several iterations available on Switch 😅
I’ve been playing River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, which is a lot of fun. I just haven’t had time to advance much in the story, but hopefully that’ll change this weekend 🤞
