I didn’t think Deck supported VRR? If you have VRR you just cap your frame rate at 37 FPS or whatever and the screen syncs to that and refreshes at 37 Hz. What you’re describing sounds like old school vsync.
It’s to “Swan AI”, so I assumed they were happy about the invoice because they’re reselling that service to suckers for a lot more than that.

Janky solutions have been around forever.

Not buying more car than I need was definitely something I thought about when I bought mine. It’s okay that trips I do every 2 or 3 months need a charging stop. I was taking a break during those anyway, so the smaller battery size is fine.

Suburban people buy SUVs because they’re big with lots of space
And also they don’t want to admit to themselves they actually need a minivan.

If you look at charging in remote areas, you might be surprised.

That’s just fast charger coverage, the ones you use during a road trip. Every three phase outlet, 15 amp caravan power outlet or plain old 10 amp outlet is also good for a charge if you’re stopping overnight and have the appropriate connections.
There’s coverage holes deep inland where you can drive 500km away from a charger and then be unable to get back, but they’re a lot harder to reach than you’d think. Almost nobody goes to those places, that’s why there’s no infrastructure there.

Electricity network providers are pushing the NSW government to relax rules blocking them from entering the Sydney EV charger market, arguing the city’s rollout is falling behind as drivers struggle to find somewhere to plug in.
The electricity network providers want to be able to compete with their own customers, and that’s the claim they’re using to justify it. That doesn’t make it true.
Meanwhile, those same network providers are often taking months to get around to grid upgrades to connect new fast chargers. I think the one at Erina Fair was sitting there for six months before it finally went live.

That charger advertises 8 amps to the car, so that’s what the car draws. I’m not sure why. A safety margin for bad wiring and dodgy outlets, maybe?

Yeah it is. I ran my EV from an 8 amp charger for the first year. Charging for ten hours overnight adds about 100km of range. Most people don’t do many kilometres per day.
You only really have trouble if you’re doing back to back long trips, or if you haven’t charged for a couple of days and suddenly find out you have a long trip to do the next day.
I mean, it’s a copper pipe you put water and coffee into and apply heat, it’s not like it won’t make coffee. Looks like you can’t buy them any more, though.
I’m on the bottom plan. It works fine for me.
AI stuff is available, but you can also just turn it off and never see it.
The search results seem to have less garbage in them than DDG. I’m not sure if Kagi is putting more effort into their index or if they’re just not being targeted as much by junk websites. Likely both.
I’m learning not to explain things to someone more than three times. If it has passed through their head three times without leaving a mark, the fourth time is not going to do the trick.
Maybe they’re making coffee

I wonder if Trump knows that?

Because it screws donors on both sides and the politicians serve the people who pay them.

All the manufacturers were sure Chinese cars would be incredibly unsafe and terrible quality, and then the Chinese cars actually turned up, and they were well made and got 5 star safety ratings.
And American and European manufacturers have been in a blind panic screaming for government protection ever since.

Okay, but that’s not an OG Prius. He’s not making any sort of sacrifice driving a new EV, they’re nicer to drive than an internal combustion ‘luxury’ vehicle.
Just throw them over one shoulder to keep them from getting tangled in the pedals.
