Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Any decent pay portals for online stores that pay cash to crypto?
2·7 months agoNo, but if you have a link… 😉
I am pretty sure that such a service exists, but I can’t find it.
People paid cash, and it converted to crypto. Similar to paying USD/GBP or EUR on an online store e.g. Amazon UK/DE/COM etc.Ideally, like paying USD on Amazon UK so that I don’t get stung with Amazons exchange rate or eBay (or Paypals) etc.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it possible (or difficult) to migrate an entire forum from vanilla to a lemmy instance?
1·7 months agoYes, it seems it does… and they look good. 🙂
Example here - https://piefed.social/topics
I got it from here - Scroll down to differences between Lemmy and PieFed.

Raccoon for Lemmy app@lemmy.world•Raccoon not an option for opening web links and search function not working
3·8 months agoThanks.
Not sure what is going on for me. I still have voyager installed but haven’t used it in months. Raccoon up to date, but when I get a lemmy link in the browser, I get a choice of apps, Voyager, IronFox even PL fantasy football 😅 , but no Raccoon. It may just be my phone, I have a new one just not transferred everything over yet. Nothing happening in search at all. It may just be the instance that I have tried searching within, as I have seen elsewhere that people have had issues with instances.
I noticed after I posted that the github page was updated 4 hours ago.

Linux@lemmy.ml•NixOS, ProxMox, Debian or Ubuntu for Docker installation
1·9 months agoYep, that’s the plan. Still didn’t get around to it today. My “free” day and I’ve not sat down other than the few minutes earlier to write the OP and look at some of the replies l. Hopefully I’ll have a few hours to myself after dinner.

Linux@lemmy.ml•NixOS, ProxMox, Debian or Ubuntu for Docker installation
2·9 months agoThank you for a great, detailed answer. Proxmox it is so. I was going with NixOS and definitely going to try Podman as I’ve been reading all about that while downloading and copying the Isos. I will be dedicating an entire machine and if I don’t do it today, I fear it will be another year before I come back to it. 🥴 I’m going to start it now . Thanks again.

2·9 months agoI’ve just went to the betterstack podman page after the above post, and there’s a good video that covers what you asked, there.

Linux@lemmy.ml•NixOS, ProxMox, Debian or Ubuntu for Docker installation
5·9 months agoEnd goal is running docker with immich, navidrome, and something like jellyfin etc. Along with a few other things that I may add as I go along. Stability and low maintenance would probably suit me best

I haven’t signed up to them yet, but will be soon. They are legit, I have been following them on Telegram - not loads of updates, but usually big ones, and their hub (blog) - https://hub.xeovo.com/
They also have plenty of guides on how to set up their service.
They are using Hysteria
It all looks fairly good from here, I was waiting for another sub to expire, but I think I will bite the bullet on these in the coming weeks.
