It depends in what context.
On the day to day, is someone making $200k struggling? No.
Is someone making $200k in the bottom 99% of Americans? Yes.

AskACanadian@lemmy.ca•What are some changes Canada can make to further distinguish its self from the USA?English
1·13 hours agoDisagree about keyboard layout (should be Dvorak, or a more modern replacement), left handed driving, and switching to French (the US has 1+ million French speakers).
Not a bad list otherwise! I’d probably add mass public transit and carless downtowns.

A pilonidal (pie-low-NIE-dul) cyst is an unusual pocket in the skin that usually contains hair and skin debris. The cyst is almost always near the tailbone at the top of the buttocks.
Pilonidal cysts usually occur when hair punctures the skin and then becomes embedded. If a pilonidal cyst becomes infected, it can be very painful. The cyst can be drained through a small cut in the skin. Sometimes, surgery is needed.
Pilonidal cysts are most common in young adult males, and the problem tends to recur. People who sit for long periods of time are at higher risk of developing pilonidal cysts.

1·13 hours agoI am tired of my life / the hell that is my own making 😸
I’ve been living car-free for six months (because I was too lazy to put on my winter tires), and am quite happy because of it.
Completely irrelevant thought, but is it actually called “reTruth”? Like the reason “tweet” and “retweet” worked so well was because “tweet” is a verb. You don’t “truth” a post, so “retruthing” is awful.
“Preach” and “repreach” could’ve worked, announce/re-announce, declare/redeclare, state/restate… Ugh.
If you have a small list, use a small basket. It’s way easier to over-shop with a cart.
Heh, that’s a good point. I did just switch everything over to an email with my current name in it…
I have one of those easily gender swappable names (like Sam), but I’m not sure I will/would want to do use it. Picking a whole new name seems part of the journey?

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•To Tax the Ultra-Rich, We Need to Go After Their Wealth—Not Just Income
11·6 days agoI’m interested in the debate between wealth taxes versus closing other loopholes (like using untaxed assets as loan collateral).
What are the arguments for both sides?

People claimed (and continue to claim) to own digital “things” before blockchain. Blockchain is just a very particular way to record that information.
Whether you can actually own (digital) things is still up for debate.
