  • I have a few questions: Why does that tray look absolutely new? like no scratch marks? I’ve been military, and NEVER saw anything that new.

Am I to believe a ship the size of a floating city doesn’t have non-perishables to last 5 years at least?

The ships can’t be resupplied by bog standard container ships from a nearby neutral/friendly country?

The armed forces that can essentially airlift an entire army within a week can’t airdrop a few hundred pallets on a carrier’s deck? (Nevermind that in the Vietnam war landing a fucking C130 was trialled, on carriers smaller than supercarriers.

Also, the newer super Hercules y way more powerful, has shorter take off and landing, etc…), never mind that heavy helos can lift 4-5 tons, so 10 Sea Stallions or equivalent can put 40 tons of food on a carrier’s deck within hours.

The surface under the tray looks suspiciously like a kitchen countertop, but I haven’t seen a carrier mess hall.

Sorry, but I have a hard time believing it.

The postal stuff I can understand, as it’s really non essential.

I’m 110% against the Epstein wars, but this looks iffy.

I’ve ridden horses for much of my life, and always shared my life with dogs.

A good horse you have a bond with is freaking awesome, but dogs are just on another level.

EDIT: As many have mentioned here, there are a lot of asshole horses, but some are really noble. You just have to treat them nicely, not as things.

    We don’t deserve dogs.

  • Bullshit. An Octopus that size isn’t going to strangle anybody, and can’t really do much suction on a wetsuit, which has a porous fabric surface.

Source: I spear fish, and have bagged 100’s of octopuses. The only danger from one that size is a bite, as they have a “parrot” beak, and very minor damage at most.

I don’t fish them any more, BTW. I had one of those experiences of having one playing with me, and they suddenly moved into the same territory as dogs, cats, horses, etc. in my mind.

  • This will add half a million contributors to the social security coffers, and half a million taxpayers.

Considering that they had health coverage, but many didn’t sign up for fear of being tracked, and were usually restricted to emergency care, they were a burden to the system. this will also lower pressure on ER services.

It’s good on many fronts, but it will create a calling effect for undocumented immigration. I’m definitely not on the right’s side, but they do have a point.

    It’s complicated.

  • While design can be excellent, manufacturing often suffers. I have had the chance to check out fairly thoroughly a couple of friend’s Chinese EVs, and I found things like primer showing I certain parts of the engine bay, flimsy supports for the infotainment system, etc. One of them told me that the steering wheel buttons stopped working a couple of weeks, and warranty service was being a nightmare.

Cost cutting shows. They are going the opposite route of Toyota. They’ll probably earn a reputation in the mid term for low quality and low durability.

What’s the saying? Nice, cheap, good; pick two.
