  • Yea, i think it’s rather common. You could fix it by simply blowing inside, past the buttons. I always thought it be the Y2K version of blowing in the cartridge.

To actual fix it I just cleaned everything that was in the vicinity of the shoulder button as well looking like it could make some sort of electrical connection using IPA. However even though it got rid of the problem for a lot longer than the blowing technique, it still is slowly failing on me again i feel like. :(

  • Yea, im kinda sick of what the tech industry has become. I do believe that tech and even the internet can have a net positive for humanity and I don’t mean it in the early silicon valley “making the world a better place thanks to my compression algorithm” sort of way. It does have the power to bring humans together and not stand in between as well as be an extension of your brain and not a replacement.

  • Open Phone (currently on hold, the webpage deteriorated over time) a Nokia phone as if it was made today. (usb-c, arm processor, 5g, 1tb sd, rss reader, podcasts, 2fa, web radio, fediverse client, offline lexicon, offline translator, weather, music, maps only showing a compass with directions, signal messenger)

An Arcade Machine built on top of a sensible Linux base running on a raspberry. The goal is to bring indie games in cafés and bars as I am super bummed out about arcades not being a thing :(

  • One of the first paid ones was Crazy Machines a puzzle game where you have to solve rube goldberg machines, i must have been around 8. I only know about this now because I have only recently dusted off the old PC I was playing on. Its fun, I like that they always added a small backstory to every puzzle. The puzzles I have created were no real puzzles and I have just built what I felt like building. Definitely worth it (the newer ones not so much.)
