I don’t think Hawaii is really analogous but I get your point. I’d still rather chill in. Taiwan though even if it’s significantly smaller.

They shouldn’t have killed his human

No thanks, I don’t want to deal with that type of shit at all. I’m not going to be visiting the US or China because of that, I’d rather go chill in Taiwan.

Uhhhh… because it’s…bad?

Yeah I remember seeing a really interesting video about how GDP growth can be very roughly approximated by night time illumination and how a small “adjustment” of GDP growth figures can create a huge disparity over time of the real vs official GDP. Nothing really conclusive or smoking gun but it was still really interesting and it definitely seems like these figures are worthy of a healthy dose of scepticism.

No better representation of America than a billionaire emerging from a gold studded office to give a $100 tip to a grandma working to afford treatment for her husband’s cancer.
I feel a bit of whiplash societally right now where these mental health awareness messages are getting more widespread (a great thing) but on a lot of online platforms the discussion is hyper sanitised or outright suppressed because it makes advertisers uncomfortable.

Looks like RAM’s back on the menu, boys!

As someone who actually lived in Taiwan, this is utter bullshit.
I only eat jerk chicken

How it started: Nobody wants EVs, they aren’t practical. We’re ramping down EV development.
How it’s going: We have no chance

Me nodding sagely to this comment as I scroll in bed
If we’re successful, we’ll have the budget to rewrite it

Exactly. That’s how you get

Is life really just small beams, resting on bigger beams, resting on columns? Is that all there is every time?

What? He’s agreeing to exchange technology and expertise, not joining the war. Iran is supplying Russia with the technology to genocide his people so of course he’s going to be against them. What are you on about, mate?

Yeah, maybe the only country to consistently fail to meet it’s treaty obligations to keep a fuel reserve should be encouraging electrification rather than finding ways to tax them.
Not necessarily, there are different types of travellers. Some people like packing many destinations into a short time and some prefer to spend more time on one place. We’re pretty far off the original topic now though because not visiting China has nothing to do with the diversity or size of it but because the CCP is an authoritarian regime who can go fuck themselves. I’d like to go back to Europe sometime though.
