Simple beauty of nature

I live and work in the city most of my life.   So it is a challenge to catch and gaze on nature’s beauty when you are surrounded by roads, cars, noise, concrete sidewalks and buildings.
The times I am able to catch a sunset or walk around the park or lake, are infrequent and few.   So it is a real blessing when I am able to, and just let the moment of solitude and peace seep into my mind and body.
Nature speaks without saying anything ~ are we listening?

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.” ~ Anne Frank

Never regret

Never regret.

If you had tried something and it turned out well, it’s wonderful.

If it didn’t,  it is an experience.

One kind word

What kind words have we said today?

“One kind word can warm three winter months.”

Japanese Proverb
Author’s Note:    We are in the middle of winter so looking at this virtual fireplace warms me up.  :-)

Life is always changing

Life is always moving, always flowing, always changing.
Go along with the tide and ride the waves,
if you want to have an exciting and challenging life.
The other option is to step out of the water.

At their best

Try to
catch people
doing and giving their best.
There are enough fault finders and cynics in this world.

Look Up at the Sky

When was the last time you look up to gaze at the sky ?
Sometimes when we are burdened with problems,
it feels like we are carrying the world in our shoulders.
Yet, if we look up, we can see that we are only
one dot in the sea of humanity,
one speck in the sands of the earth.
Then maybe our problems don’t look so bad after all.

Addition by Subtraction

What can I let go today?
What can I throw out that I don’t need right now?
If we live simply by what we need, we don't need to buy and keep
a lot of stuff that is crowding our room, cabinets and house.
So, travel lightly my friend.
