  • This is repression.

Minorities (especially trans and/or neurodiverse children, who often aren’t even respected by their family) will be especially affected by this censorship of their only safe space - the rare inclusive corners of social media (like the fediverse and some rare mainstream social media communities).

If I hadn’t used social media in my childhood, I would be convinced what my parents and the Slovenian medical system tried to implant in my mind: that all autistics are idiots, and that I shouldn’t be educated, I should just have a job in some kind of disability institution.

Maybe this is the intention of this legislation… Also, is the app still deliberately incompatible with Graphene OS via strong-integrity? Hmmm…

  • I thought it was painful enough to bite my nails (I used to chew them until blood, which made some of my nails grow in, but it was easily fixable).

Maybe, you could make snus with glass shards instead of tobacco, so it would (theoretically) only harm the surface of your gums and harm your teeth less.

Well, after writing this this sounds like a bad idea.

  • Well, the authorities (of any kind) are usually the ones bullying you. I was never really bullied by my peers outside of light teasing, but the teachers (especially in my primary school) accused me of anything they could.

If you’re a minority, don’t expect the authorities to be on your side. You’re an inconvenience to them since you are different than most and harder to manipulate.

Well, I (Autism and no ADHD) have a hard time waking up on weekdays because of my sensory issues (since I live with my parents who do anything but accommodate them). I wake up normally on weekends, because no one bullies me first thing in the morning.

I should have signed up for a school where I would be eligible for a dorm - not solely for that reason (In Slovenia, the dorm eligibility is calculated mainly from the distance between your home and the college), but I didn’t. Great.
