7·3 days agoWe have two god damn left parties and they keep splitting everything, that’s how this happens. At some point I was hoping they could sit down and agree before an election to just drop candidates in ridings where the other was favoured and try to get enough votes to form a coalition.

The original commenter in this chain was making a point that the speech bubble is vertically flipped once he’s out of the hole. That’s all, he wasn’t saying anything about the deeper message of the comic.

isn’t the deep web just anything behind a login screen? Shouldn’t this say “dark web”?
I forget exactly how, but at my first job I did manage to rip one of these before, covering the entire floor in Pepsi syrup. One of the assistant managers walked in shortly after, looked at the mess on the floor I was attempting to clean up and said “it’s fine, I needed something to do anyways, go back to cash”.
Last time I commented this same thing on this picture someone reminded me that chainsaws often use centripetal clutches so there’s a bunch of ways it can accidentally engage without actually hitting the throttle

5·23 days agoI had an even simpler idea, why if there was not just some kind of automated signage on the taxiways into runways that signalled if a plane was imminently landing, like, iunno, some kind of red light?

To further this, this is why your monitor uses RGB, but printers use CMY (+K but technically you could get away with just CMY) Cyan absorbs red light, only reflecting red and green, magenta absorbs green light, only reflecting red and blue, and I’m sure you can guess what yellow absorbs. Your monitor on the other hand isn’t reflecting exterior light, it’s creating its own.
