You might be right on that. Our country is beautiful, and we have an incredibly diverse array of climates. Tropical beaches, vast deserts, snow capped peaks, dense forest, sprawling grasslands. And so much of our land is protected in National Parks, BLM, National Forests… It’s truly a treasure.

Or, the window of habitability on Mars was much shorter than on Earth, and there just wasn’t time for complex, multicellular life to evolve. On Earth, life existed for billions of years before multicellular critters popped up.
