I don’t have much to add from the last megathread description. This isn’t to say that nothing has happened or has changed since then - decades are still happening in weeks - but the general flow of the war is remaining the same. Trump sometimes threatens to open the Strait with troops and flatten Iran to rubble, and other times threatens that he’s gonna back off and let other countries handle it if they really want little trifles like “fuel” and “energy” so much. Iran continues to strike across the Middle East. The West continues to bomb civilian infrastructure due to their relative inability to affect the missile cities. In all: things are generally getting worse for America and the Zionists.
April is the month where the last ships that left Hormuz before it was closed will arrive around the world, so the last month of economic turmoil has been a mere prelude to what’s going to occur in the near-future. The silver lining is that Iran appears to be formalizing the new state of affairs in Hormuz, creating a rial-based toll to allow passage between a pair of Iranian-controlled islands where they can be monitored, meaning that, as long as the US doesn’t do something exceptionally stupid, the global energy crisis may “only” last a couple years instead of simply being the new reality from now on. Some countries have already agreed to this arrangement, and others will inevitably follow despite their consternation as their economies increasingly suffer.

What are the chances that Trump just tells Israel to stop to keep the Strait open? There’s precedence here, Reagan successfully did that. And it would make Trump feel like a strongman, a peacemaker, and a deal master.
Close to zero. He’s already saying that Lebanon wasn’t part of the ceasefire so that the zionazis have free reign to attack them. Even if he did, I doubt they would listen.
Unless he tells them with JASSMs, I don’t think it would mean much other than pretending to try to rein them in to keep Iran waiting. Given what is already rumored, even just telling them to back down is unlikely.
There’s no reason to believe Israel won’t come to heel just like they have done literally every time a US president has yanked the leash in the past. Trump and the clique around him simply don’t want to do it, or at most they have convinced Trump that Israel won’t obey when they absolutely would. Israel can’t exist without the US backing it.
I guess my bigger issue is I wouldn’t believe the US would give serious orders: if they said anything, it would just be part of the political theater to get the most out of the supposed ceasefire.
When Presidents yanked on the leash in the past, they didn’t do it in public. They did it privately, and Israel came to heel. They’d do it the same way this time if they actually wanted to, and if Israel defied their orders then intelligence sharing gets cut off, military aid and sales get cut off, AIPAC gets officially identified as a foreign actor and all of their employees are made to register under FARA, etc. The leverage is endless.

Beyond that if they actually had leverage on him then he wouldn’t be constantly waffling, US boots would have been on the ground during the 12 day war.
