Like I said, whatever you say! Would you say that Graphene is actual independent operating system made from scratch?

Most of the companies didn’t either leave Russian market as they had been there always… point one thing I have said that is lye and proof it? You currently just saying a lot of things that you don’t base anything factual and when I point that out you move to to next topic

Well I guess you know that there is a little bit other parts also as only UI… But sure, what you said!

Sure, I said that as well. But most of your comment didn’t base on any facts. Didn’t every company back in the days do that? Didn’t all the countries basically keep doing business as usual? And Russians owned around ~20% at their peak. So still they didn’t have even close the majority saying in the company

Only very small portion of actual OS isn’t fully open? Someone could say it to be blatant lye to say it is closed, when only UI is closed.
It is true that Jolla did business inside Russia 2015-2021, which wasn’t smart, but so did everyone else. So blaming just them is weird. And they wanted to get out of Russia before 2022 invasion. Russian state company owned around ~20% at its peak of Jolla. I wouldn’t round that to be near majority… Facts straight next time?

Again, I don’t know if you are bot or not… But Jolla started the process to move away from Russia in all forms already in 2021… so nothing to do with Russian last offensive.
But sure, they did do business inside Russia after illegal annexation of Crimea. Like almost all companies in the world. Not the brightest move from any of them. But to claim that Jolla had something to do with Russian assassinations and other criminal activities is just a lye

I don’t know if you are bot or something, but SailfishOS isn’t something that was made together with Russian?

Should you change the title? If I read this right you answered to some random dude in Sailfish forum. At least I couldn’t find any comment regarding you from Jolla or their employees
But why tho? Isn’t reading Bible and understanding what it says big part of it?
Ah you meant personal point of view. I understood that you meant from general point of view. My bad

That is definitely choice. In my mind SailfishOS is open enough as most of it is open. But of course it is good to have options. For me carrying two phones would be no-go, which leads me to be mostly interested as polished options that can meet my app needs --> don’t know other Linux option (currently) in this case than SFOS

Have you checked SailfishOS? Of course it might have bug once a while but generally they seem to be extremely reliable as phone

Sailfishos has this their own Android App Support. That integrates Android apps to native UI quite beautifully what I have seen

I would recommend to check SailfishOS. Quite a few officials supported devices and even more community ports

Are you using PMOS? Have you checked SailfishOS? It sounds like it would be quite a lot more polished and more usable

Check SailfishOS, there you can run even quite many banking apps: https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/banking-apps-on-sailfish-os/18438/183
People looking for another European alternative, check SailfishOS! Jolla supports their devices long time and SailfishOS is truly alternative OS made in Europe

Well most of it is open source. And opening all the time more. So stating it is closed source is not true

Still most of it open source and they are gradually opening even more. I cant see it opening completely and I think it is better that way. I don’t believe either that without business incentive we will ever get as polished alternative as android/ios
Nice topic that I would like to see discussed mich more! We are indeed in urgent need to again have more options outside the US duopoly. Personally I would like to see more independent alternatives getting mature enough. Problem is and always will be the app ecosystem. I hope that at least in EU we would see some law mandating that critical services should be available outside the duopoly
