Must have been Gran Turismo 3, during those days I was switching from pocket money to spending my own income so it’s not sure if GT3 was still a gift and GT4 was actually my first self bought game.

I do remember i owned the platinum edition of GT3 and GT4 was bought at release.

It was definitely worth it, Up until today I still dream about owning a race sim setup to do some serious racing and developing my skill. But I never got past a used Logitech G29 mounted to a desk and a chair that kept rolling away from the pedals type of setup.

I had a fairly long term of being unemployed during Covid which ended up in me buying that G29 as I spent a lot of time playing GT sport and finally for the first time ever got all gold on the licenses, so I knew I was making some good progress from all the time spent.

I even dared to try online racing and as I got better slowly managed to hold myself among others, which made me happy.

Well…you’re not wrong, but it’s not like we get a choice at the end of the day.

People lucky enough to not need a kitchen are few and far between.

Me, the way I set up my life…but the economy been fucking around.

So now I find out I still get none of what I worked, prepared and sacrificed for.

I miss those showers at home, where you didn’t need to care about bills as your parents protected you from those.

My showers easily ended up being 30min long, looking back I wish those bills still took a similar % of your income. I’d happily sink away into my empty brain under a steaming hot shower.

If they don’t stop digging this slop hole any deeper, I won’t be coming back.

Heck my 7900xtx is serving me plenty well and my Ryzen processor is doing more than enough.

Seeing how my old lower specced pc lasted me 11 years I figure this one might be able to chug along for a few more at this point.

I love silverware like this, really brings out the ole: “everything used to be so much better” in me.

I’m a crane operator, if we still got the wages people would get 15 years ago and all the required paperwork it would feel important.

But now it’s just a: “hey guy, go try it out…see how it goes” and if it goes well you get to stay…for the same wage and no official paperwork to prove you’re capable and as such no opportunity to do the same at a new employer and maybe build up your wage.

It’s a bit if a run on ramble, but yeah… that’s how I feel, after 30 years of trying to save money, increase my skills and wage, not owning a car to save on costs and doing everything on a bicycle up to 40km a day and still not being able to buy a house…I’m ready to throw in the towel

A targeted ad consists of showing you what you just bought from the same exact website you just got it from.

Like, it’s just a scam towards the businesses at this point and a waste of my time and bandwidth.

Ah yes, “it’s not taxed higher, just differently which means it’s higher”. Makes sense.

The average european has a good life, but the average person doesn’t exist outside of statistics.

I used to work 84h weeks as a European, overtime is taxed at a higher rate so the take home is lower than a regular working hour. But if you really want something out of life (like buying a house) you have to sacrifice everything if you’re just a normal worker.

Hell i sacrificed it all only to lose it to economic troubles and later again due to covid.

I’m not doing that again even though all my employers try to get me to work overtime, some even fired me for refusing to work overtime past the contractual 3h per week.

I somehow ended up making a decent wage at my current job, but i dislike the job so badly it’s not even funny anymore.

Because if you do that now, you’ll end up on a a.i. made website with some fever dreams for images which hold no real facts and or truths. Only half facts jumbled together with half truths into incomprehensible sentences which feel like a random combination of words that seem to be endless and unmemorizeable.

I’ll say it here again, i have an 7900xtx i expect it to run silky smooth.

If it doesn’t, that’s on you brother.

I also play on 1440p and it doesn’t reach a well enough framerate at ultra settings, i set it on high and adjusted some things to lower settings to get a better framerate.

These type of posts give me the feeling people might start standing up for themselves more.
