I’m trying to force myself to forget about this game.
For me MGS ended with number 4. The prologue from MGSV was good but the rest of the game is just bad, without any deep and interesting story…

I fully agree! In Mass Effect 3 you really feel like a part of the crew!
In the others too but a tad less. Still walking around the ship has always been a pleasure that I haven’t really found in any other game.

The Mass Effect trilogy is so great and the Legendary Edition is perfect on Steam Deck. You can even lower the TDP to improve battery life and still get good graphics.
I rep’ayed them a few months ago and I was real’y impressed by the scale of it.
To be honnest, Mass Effect is some kind of Cyberpunk 2077 with better gameplay and story.
People don’t like the third one, but for me it was the best one.

Yeah but the Deck will be really interesting for this, since I play most of my games at 30fps with 7TDP when the Deck could perform better.
I guess, people doing what I do should not be taken into account…

I guess you were right and it was related to automounting the hard drive.
We’ll see if I encounter the issue again but it seems solved for now🤞

I installed Open Wizard and cleared the cache with no success, but I think I found where the problem was coming from.
I ain’t sure yet and we’ll see if it happens again, but setting automount for the hard drive probably changed the path and Kodi couldn’t find the movie related to the thumbnail in the library anymore.
If it was just this, the error message should have been clearer to be honest…

That’s a really good question as I was also curious about it since we only hear about Asahi on the M Macs.
I don’t know what you can run on the Snapdragons Linux wise…

Welcome!
Lemmy and the Fediverse are a perfect replacement for Reddit.
For Facebook I don’t know as it’s more about the willingness of people around you to try something else.
I’m really happy with Kagi but I’m scared its price might go up and I’d want them to really not depend on the GAFAM. I think their results or something is still coming out of these bad companies…

My son is pretty lucky as I’m the only dad around with a Steam Deck and a Playstation 5.
He didn’t even have to ask for these as I’m the one gaming the most.
I guess none of his friends is gonna get a Steam Deck or a Playstation 5 soon with the prices or the availability of these things…
The only good part is that maybe people are gonna learn to enjoy what they already have and devs could learn to keep developing games for old hardware.

It always surprised me but I never bothered asking why.
Thanks for doing it and thanks to people providing an explanation.

It surprised me to see this. The good news is that apparently it doesn’t affect the revenue of creators…
Still, I don’t really know what to think about it as I’d just want the creators to move willingly to another platform.
Agreed. When you download, you don’t really know what you’re getting. Also you don’t get consistency between all of your movies. That’s the difference when you rip your own stuff.
With the bluray drive, there isn’t much choice on the used market in Switzerland so I’m just trying to go with a good brand and check reviews if I find some.
In my country, used i7 or i5 are around the same price, but I can’t find an i5 with 16gb of ram to future proof it and make it useable for something else than a media center if I want to recycle it in the future.
Still I hope the i7 isn’t consuming too much or producing too much heat.
Can your project be downloaded and used or is it just something you’re working on for yourself for now?

To be honest it looks great and at first I thought about how impressive it is.
Then you think about how it modifies what was created and how it could lack consistency with a character looking a certain way in a part of the game and differently later.
I don’t know know what to think about these technologies like FSR and DLSS…
I don’t think I mind the fake frames as it could give you more performance on something like a Steam Deck, but the rest is tricky…
Thanks for your answer! I only realized now that since it’s gonna be near my router, an Ethernet cable can do the job in case RPM Fusion and installling the Broadcom drivers isn’t enough.
Just put an offer on an auction site for a MacMini with 16Gb of Ram, an i7 and a 265gb SSD. We’ll see if I get it for less than 100.-🤞
Okay thanks!
What kind of technical hurdles do you mean? Apparently makeMKV makes it quite easy but I’d be happy to have feedback
Oh yeah I’d love such a thing!
You could log to one service and use it to give to every open source project, no matter if they use Patreon or another platform.
Still it would be sensitive to handle as there would be credit cards informations…
What I’ve created is a Firefox bookmark folder with the « donate » page of every project I wanna support.
