Yep, it’s a wild thought. But outside of pressure and medium what’s the fundamental difference between a blimp and a submarine.
Less support of their government, more support of their infrastructure. Everyone’s government could magically disappear tomorrow and life would only continue and get better. The US government, the Iranian government, neither one deserves support.
To a layman this might seem misleading. To someone familiar with fluid dynamics it’s perfectly accurate. Hydrofoils are wings. And they generate lift. Just in a different medium than most people are familiar with.
If you unionize the location mysteriously becomes unprofitable and they have to shut it down leaving everyone without a job. If you burn it down, the location closes leaving everyone without a job. But costing the bastards who can’t spare the profit to pay their workers a fair wage Millions. The arrangements of the unions was never please please Mr Boss Man can we be allowed to live too. It was paying us a fair wage or you might wake up dead in your own bed.
These companies actively make that unfeesable. They’d spend the extra money to close the location. Claim it was unprofitable. And hire all new ununionized staff elsewhere.
I want to believe. His opponent is a piece of work themselves. And a former member of Fidesz. But despite only winning 45ish percent of the vote in his last election. Orban won 90ish percent of the districts due to suppression and gerrymandering. Its relatable but soul crushing that a possibly less shit person is their remotely other option.
Not just Democratic voters. People of all stripes who have a modicum of critical thinking skills. Which was why I didn’t participate in that myself. Just pointing out (correctly) who would win if it wasn’t the democrat. (I wish I could have been wrong) To the loudest most obsessed posters. Doesn’t matter who you voted for or if you didn’t vote at all. It’s your right. But I think we should all strive to be as informed as possible. And not self destructively manipulated as many were. I genuinely believe most were ernest, sincere, and extremely naive.
It’s fucking damning that the genocide wasn’t optional in the election. And still isn’t a deal breaker for national leadership. But without an actual plan to replace or remove them. At least not kneecapping ourselves should be the baseline.
The hilarious thing, many of the loudest people solely focused on criticizing only Harris actually ended up voting for her. But their votes could not offset all the people they demotivated from voting entirely or convinced to vote for Trump.
Democrats never need help losing. But they will always gladly accept it. They’ve never ever learned the lesson in the past 40 years and yet these people thought somehow they would? Make it make sense.
Doesn’t matter what language they want you to use. A purge is still a purge. This will 100% be used more to block and disenfranchise people than help them.
They certainly aren’t. They’re not even allies to themselves. But without them we have little hope of getting anything passed. And without us they stand little chance of getting elected. Neither of us would choose to ally with the other.
Okay, but that’s a very disingenuous framing of most the people we’re talking about. Especially on the fediverse. I 100% believe that someone somewhere made such claims but that wasn’t the common sentiment. No one was largely telling anyone not to criticize Harris and the Democrats for their stances. Far from. They earned all that and more.
But railing against Harris and the Democrats wasn’t railing against genocide. I don’t care who you voted for or if you didn’t vote. Honestly the best way to fix national government and national elections is to abolish them both. For most people the issue truly was both sides. Because it was about the genocide, not Democrats. And pointing out how the myopic focus on just Harris was not only counterproductive but disastrous.
No one was (generally speaking) telling you not to criticize Harris. Just telling you don’t let yourself be used by the petite bourgeoisie or the zionists. And asking what your plan was. For most people it was jumping without a parachute, and acting surprised when they went splat. Democrats and the people railing against the Democrats specifically both. And the Really tragic part of it is I know many of the people that campaigned against Harris the hardest. Ended up voting for her even as they drove Palestinians and other people into non-voting apathy or voting for Trump.

Honestly I’m right there with you. Notice I’m not saying the Democrats are not to blame for any of this. They 100% are. But when Zionist and oligarch media start giving you attention you better double check your messaging. The focusing solely on Harris and not all candidates was an unforced error. That the media gleefully Amplified. The more of us that understand this the better things are going to be in the future.

I technically agree with you but that’s not remotely the point. I’m against the death sentence in totality myself. I think even the petite bourgeoisie would be better handled by hard labor than death. And that the only acceptable time to kill is in actual self-defense. The death penalty for drug crimes is especially stupid. And so are unforced errors like not just sending them have to be another country’s problem and not yours.
When killing becomes an acceptable solution it also becomes the easy solution and the regular solution. Which should be the opposite of what a just Society goes for.
Sure but why stop there. If things were perfect they’d be perfect! Not to mention I think the fact that third parties are not historically viable in national elections are why we’re here and not the solution. They absolutely should be but that’s not the world we live in unfortunately.
Call me utilitarian if you want. But I’m of the mind but if I had the means to take solid action to save a few. It’s more moral than taking a stance virtue signaling and saving none. That’s my praxis. For instance if you were in the region. Down in the Mediterranean and had a small boat that could hold 20 to 100 people. Would you go in and try to sneak out 20 to 100 people at a time saving who you could. Or would that be immoral because you couldn’t save everyone. What was the goal in focused campaigning against Harris, and
I don’t blame or begrudge people for feeling betrayed by Harris and the Democrats. But I genuinely wonder how many knew what the alternative actually was. Either way we need to start getting busy now. Not just for the midterms but positioning decent candidates for the 28 presidential as well. Otherwise the Overton Death March is only going to continue unabated. There are already positioning Harris and Newsom. Who are 100% horrible candidates that will still be better than anything Republicans are going to put forth. Call me misguided but I think Bernie Sanders was really cooking and we should follow his lead. DSA in my Democratic primary it could work out better than you think
Any candidate that had a chance of winning supported it unfortunately. It wasn’t optional. We’d much rather have to be dealing with Harris and her Zionist handlers over it than dimentia don flailing about though. Its a small distinction and no real comfort.
But the humor isn’t lost on me, that the people that did less than nothing to improve the situation, nor attempt to start the revolution. Still continue to pretend to be more moral than the people who understood what was happening and didn’t want things to get worse.
How was that even possible though! He was already borderline so low he had to consciously remember to breathe. Which we would all be better off if he forgot.
