Since nothing else worked & no serious costs are imposed by peasants in West, this seems to be a serious option one needs to look at(I dont like UN peacekeeping forces—as they do work to subvert armed resistance like in Lebanon—but given where we are now, its lesser of the evils & resistance needs to take chance)

Else, alternative option is genocide for another year (or) two
