It's the fundamental difference between progressives and neoliberls:
Progressives tend to want to help people, and view it as a public service and working for the people.
Neoliberls want to be elected, and view it as a voters job to blindly vote for "their team" no matter what.
One strategy is what got FDR elected so many times neoliberals and Republicans bandied together to ban him from office...
And the other strategy is how Trump is in office for the second term.
