Love to see early implementation for redgifs video embeds! Afraid they are booked for me on android app. Getting a “failed to load video” instead. When I open in browser on my instance’s website videos embed fine so its not the poster’s fault.
We’ve just released NetNewsWire 7.0.4 for Mac. Do a Check for Updates or download it directly to get the update.
The big new changes are to iCloud syncing: there’s a new setting to not sync the content of unread articles, since that’s the biggest part of your iCloud database and what takes the longest to sync.
Another change is a new iCloud Storage Stats window that tells you exactly what’s in your iCloud storage — and it includes a Clean Up button that will trim down your storage (and lead to faster syncs in the future, though not necessarily right at first).
I basically followed this YouTube tutorial’s idea of doubly-inverted rectangles to highlight text, but I used a “highlighter” effect because I liked how it just changed the colour of the text, rather than the background. In the Fusion tab, I’ve got it looking great:
Basically you can now manage the download screen of your deck from a PC client. I haven’t gotten to try it yet, but my understanding is that the deck needs to be on for this to work, but it will work if the deck is already in the “screen off downloading updates” state.
I have a PS3 and PC which is able to run RPSC3. I prefer playing over PS3. When playing on console game need online pass, you can obtain it easily with jailbreak like HEN. For emulator players there are special servers.
Hey everyone! The second pre-release for Thunder v0.9.0 is here! This nightly introduces support for updating PieFed account settings, adds the ability to attach flairs and tags to PieFed posts, and includes fixes for issues introduced in the first nightly build. If you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to report them on GitHub!
PINE64 has built a reputation for delivering open source hardware to people who actually care about what runs on their devices. From single-board computers like the ROCKPro64 and the RISC-V powered STAR64 to Linux smartphones like the PinePhone, the company has been pretty consistent.
…evidenced by the stale mothballed bug report (linked). This should be an easy bug. It should be a no-brainer that triggers a Mozilla dev to say “of course, no problem.. job done”.
This is for multiplying your fps by 3x or 4x, but the input lag, ghosting, stuttering, and other issues make everything worse. Overall I’d recommend sticking to lossless scaling at 2x or not using framegen at all.
So when the news circulated recently that the Lutris developer was using Claude to help write the code (and the angry posts/articles appeared) I figured I’d reach out to Mathieu to hear his side of things.
Wine is the windows compatibility layer that Proton is based on, which is how the Deck plays windows games. So any significant update to wine will directly benefit windows games on Deck, as soon as Proton is updated.
I’m laying the groundwork that will allow you to use different accounts in different tabs. That wasn’t really the intention of the work I was doing, but it turned out to be a happy accident.
Jelly writes on the NetNewsWire Discourse forum:
I’ve drafted a naive implementation of NNW MCP support through AppleScript. It supports listing feeds, getting/searching articles, subscribing new feeds…
I can now schedule a daily task that lets Claude summarize that day’s new articles and order them based on my previous behaviors every morning.
We love how AppleScript support is worth way more than the effort we put into it — users can keep creating cool things that we couldn’t have imagined back then.
Hey everyone! It’s been a while, but the first pre-release of Thunder v0.9.0 is finally here! 🎉 This nightly contains a lot of under-the-hood changes to improve Thunder’s core logic. Because of this, the build may come with more bugs than usual. If you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to report them on GitHub!
I spent a few days chatting to the RetroDECK team (who are well and truly friends by now!), with the idea that it might be a good chance to focus on their real passion: retro gaming. Too often RetroDECK (*which is all about emulation/retro gaming for the Steam Deck/Linux*) just gets bottled up and mentioned as being less than it is.
NetNewsWire 7 for iOS 26 and up is available now on the App Store!
This version adopts Liquid Glass — and we think it’s a better looking version of NetNewsWire. We think even people who aren’t fans of Liquid Glass will agree with us. 🐣
Credit goes to Stuart Breckenridge for the design and implementation. Wonderful work! Check out the screenshots.
This version also fixes some small bugs and adds some small performance enhancements.
There used to be a feature whereby a bookmarked page could be flagged for offline use. Then when you visit that page, it instantly renders the page regardless of whether you are online. Was that removed?
I have been in the process of writing some help guides, and one of my friends graciously lent me his Steam Deck so that I could verify that Fluxer would work on it as well. And I’m happy to say it does. Although I did not plan on just posting a Fluxer Help-Article on Lemmy, I figured while waiting on the Fluxer team to start accepting pull requests and me getting done with my guides, someone might be looking for step-by-step instructions for their Steam Deck. So here it is. Feedback and discussion is of course welcome.
