There are probably a lot of bananas in that picture
A government not recognized by most countries on this planet

I couldn’t find numbers for this specific institute, only that this is the lowest it’s ever been. A similar question was asked in[0], where the US under Obama was seen positively by 64% of Germans, while under Bush it was 30% and 78% under Clinton

You’re right, but bad example. Maybe when talking about Germans, use an actual German example? There are more than enough, Kurt Georg Kiesinger for instance.
The funniest thing is that people who think you need some kind of qualification to vote also think they would be part of those qualified
Not really the same, I mean, Beanie Babies actually physically exist and require work to be produced. You could compare it to Labubus, Warhammer figures or collectibles of any kind but NFTs are just peak worthless stupidity with no prior equivalent
It would strengthen the EU if Hungary were to leave
That looks absolutely awful
If you are on welfare (Bürgergeld or Sozialhilfe) all costs in Germany are covered by the state that are deemed necessary for a dignified life. Several governments over the years repeatedly tried to cut benefits below that but were stopped by our constitutional court, referencing the first article of our constitution:
(1) Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Sie zu achten und zu schützen ist Verpflichtung aller staatlichen Gewalt.
(1) Human dignity is inviolable. To respect and protect it is the duty of all state authority
It’s not a perfect system and many fall through the cracks because like everything in Germany, the welfare system is highly bureaucratic. But yes, basic necessities including tap water are covered. To be honest, I don’t get that this is so mind-blowing to some, I think that’s the bare minimum.
It also comes with a lot of cooperation duties: if you are capable of working, you must accept job offers that are deemed reasonable or you might be sanctioned. If you are incapable of working (e.g. because you’re a single parent or disabled) you need to provide proof. It’s not a universal basic income, it’s meant as support to get people back into the job market.
Not sure whether it’s sarcastic or insane, it gets harder to tell every day…
Modesty of others is non of your damn business
Wow!!! And no one said anything, they just built it.
That’s not how you write a joke. This is misinformation for the extremely gullible
I use mine as an ebook reader and to watch netflix et al. especially when I’m traveling. It was only 200€ for a very good 10” display, good sound and decent speed. Pretty good value for money and a lot more comfortable for me than a laptop for these use cases. It’s not the most important device I own but it has its uses.
You should get out of the US more
Right? It’s so frustrating that there’s no media outlet containing a clear list. It’s such an easy thing to do for journalists and they can’t be arsed to do the basics of their job. All I could find out so far is that UK and US stayed
TNG first season? Eww
What an odd thing to say... "If conditions would be completely different the statistics would be different, therefore I don't trust the statistics". What's your point exactly?
But why don't they just ask the mother whether she took any medication or drugs she shouldn't have? Given what happened in the article, the information provided by the mother would probably be more accurate anyway. Routinely not believing women is on brand, though. Again, we're talking about women with absolutely no history of drug abuse. I'd seriously like to know how many women with no prior history of drug abuse start doing drugs just as they are getting pregnant to warrant routine testing.
Another problem with these kinds of tests is that they are not accurate enough. If you test urine samples routinely, the majority of your tests will be false positives. (Example: you test all pregnant women, 1% take drugs, the test is accurate 98% of the time. Congratulations, 2/3 of your tests are false positives.) That's why you only do those tests if you have a suspicion based on other data and not just test everyone.
Please explain?
