My Frahm jacket was due to arrive the week I was to leave for a two week Asian holiday, so I was worried I might be gone before arrival, and I did not want to have it arrive in my absence. Which brings us to customer care. It was delightful Izzy of Customer Service who reassured me everything should be OK: and so it proved. As I wrote to her when my jacket arrived a few days before I was due to leave on holiday:
“Just a quick note to let you know that my Frahm order arrived safely this morning - love the packaging by the way !
A small part of me thinks that the jacket may be slightly long in the arm: but a much larger part of me can't bear to part with it - already(!) - so I think I'll forego the free sleeve alteration on this occasion. Which makes it all the more galling that come the end of this week I'll be somewhere too hot to be needing my new purchase for a fortnight or so !!
I was slightly concerned that choosing the 'small' size was actually a sop to my vanity, but in actual fact having worn the jacket this lunchtime, not only is it comfortable in itself; I feel sure it will still be comfortable with a microfleece beneath it if required, so I'm happy I'll be wearing it outside of spring and summer, well into autumn and winter.
All of the above might give you some indication as to how purchasing this jacket has been so out of my comfort zone, as I'm very much a 'see before I buy' person: indeed, 'feel before I buy' when it comes to clothes.
As your founder rightly surmises, payment before receipt is a leap of faith, and on this occasion, I'm more than happy to report: that faith has been repaid in full. Please pass on my congratulations and thanks to Nick and the whole team.”
Of course Izzy reassured me that your free alterations run to a 90 day period, so I could always change my mind about that when I returned; not that I have.
So I had the Classic Harrington Racer to appreciate for roughly three days before I was away for a fortnight. It’s now been just over a week since I was reunited with the jacket, and I think it was over this last weekend – blessed with glorious sunshine – that I finally realised what a styling gem I have.
It was after a two hour walk, sat down outside a local cricket pavilion bar, with a welcome pint in hand, that the sun finally forced the jacket off my back and on to the slatted wooden table top by my side. As I looked at the Harrington in the sunshine, I realized it was the perfect combination of flair and functionality: looking beautiful, feeling robust, with the Halley Stevensons Waxed Cotton already beginning to develop its own character. Added to that, the subtle Frahm logo doesn’t shout “designer brand” which is a pleasing detail in and of itself.
I’m now a proud member of the 2026 owner’s club and already planning a second Frahm purchase.
Really like the style of this jacket. The waist length cut is just right and the fabric has a high quality feel. I expect this to be perfect for lots of winter and gives me a better option than the endless puffy jackets that you see everywhere. My only issue ... shipping to the US created some weird customs hoops that required me to do more work than I expected just to get the jacket. For the price and quality, I expect shipping and customs to be seamless. But now that I have the jacket, I'm very happy.
I received some ear ache when my wife found out the cost of this pen! A premium piece of engineering I’m very happy I’ve bought.
The jacket fits great. I originally ordered a double XL, which turned out to be too large. Easy return and got shipped an XL, which fit perfectly, and I love the jacket, absolutely one of my favorites. Highly recommend if you're on the fence thinking about ordering one, just go for it; you'll be very happy you did.
Cheers.
My second Harrington in two weeks. What else can I say? Brilliant, classy, stylish. If you haven’t got one, what are you waiting for???!!!
Very happy with this second Frahm purchase, I think 3 years after the first. It fits, looks and feels like a quality jacket because it is. Frahm's message is clear, correct and most importantly I trust the brand (and therefore Nick I suppose!) I know I'll be enjoying wearing this in years to come as much as I do now.
