The main idea of this fork is to provide cross platform PhysX support to use it in different game engines (e.g. Unity or Unreal Engine). For this purpose two things are done here:
- Blast library (destruction toolkit) was modified to support all the range of modern platforms and it was unchained from the Nvidia build system (packman) and transferred fully to the CMake and simple cross-platform python build script that just wraps CMake arguments processing.
developbranch was merged with the community for of PhysX provided by O3DE (check description in section below) to make PhysX components to be supported across different platforms, not only Windows.
To build blast go to the blast subdirectory and check the Readme file.
Go to the section below and check the O3DE fork documentation on how to build.
Below you can check the original PhysX readme.

Welcome to the NVIDIA PhysX source code repository.
This repository contains source releases of the PhysX, Flow, and Blast SDKs used in NVIDIA Omniverse.
This fork is mantained by the O3DE community and governed by the Special Interest Group for Simulation (SIG Simulation). You can ask any questions in the O3DE #sig-simulation Discord Channel.
The main purpose of this fork is the addition of the following platforms to NVIDIA PhysX:
Please see instructions specific to each of the platforms in the respective subfolder under physx/documentation/platformreadme.
Only Pull Requests related to the new platforms will be taken, for any other contributions please submit them to the NVIDA fork.
More details about the creation of this fork can be found in this discussion.
The user guide and API documentation are available on GitHub Pages. Please create an Issue if you find a documentation issue.
Please see instructions specific to each of the libraries in the respective subfolder.
Please see the O3DE Fork for community-maintained additional build configurations.
