Original description

Sort preferences.txt alphabetically when saving it. It makes it far easier to use in a text editor. java is reasonably high level so it might only be on extra function call.

Would this cause any incompatibilities with previous versions?

No. I've been sorting the files manually. When the file is read, the order of lines in it is not relevant.
