Hi, I’m Khalid from METR, a non-profit that evaluates AI capabilities and safety.

We’re currently running an AI Impact Study looking at the question of whether AI speeds up research and development

Overview:

• $50/hour to work on your own repo/issues
• ~5 hours/month over the next few months
• Developers pick their own issues; AI tool usage is randomized_

The goal is to gather real-world data on AI’s impact while also supporting open source work.
