Status: Approved but benefits not activated

Hi GitHub Education Support Team,

My student verification was approved on April 15, 2026, but Student Developer Pack benefits are still unavailable after 3 days.

Checks done:
✅ Billing status shows "Awaiting Benefits"
✅ No activation emails in inbox/spam

Could you please manually trigger the benefit activation for my account?

Yes, even after the approval and wait time, all I got was copilot free tier benefits.

Honestly, the student benefits barely offer anything useful anymore. The models are pretty outdated, the limits are low, and there isn’t really such a thing as a free model now — even GPT-5-mini counts against your quota.

Maybe that makes you feel a little better, but yeah, I’ve basically stopped relying on GitHub Copilot Student at this point.

They have recently changed the policy for using GitHub Student Developer Pack benefits, and the usage limits have been reduced.

Hi, for me it took a little over two weeks, maybe a day or two more, but I applied around April, so I’m not sure about the current situation.
