Hello / Hola / Olá!

I'm Wellyson, a Senior Software Engineer with more than 10 years of experience.

I build reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions for real-world problems with solid Software Architecture and Data Science.

About

Most of my experience is in the financial sector, including at N26, where I've contributed to fraud, money laundering, and financial terrorism detection using Machine Learning models built on global, event-driven data.

I have been tech-savvy from an early age and am deeply hands-on, backed by formal education in Computer Science and Statistics areas and certified in Java, AWS, and a few more.

Originally from Brazil, now based in Barcelona with my wife and children, I enjoy spending time outdoors, learning, crafting, traveling, and having fun together.

Projects

  • Creator of PixSim, a simulator for Brazil's instant payment system, designed for fraud detection research and testing.
  • Biblemark and DjForms are examples from courses and experiments I've enjoyed exploring.
  • I also share notes and exercises from ongoing studies, such as Selikoff-Boyarsky.
  • Author of Codex Memor, my personal blog.
  • I am maintaining a personal serverless micro-SaaS project (in progress).

Skills

I prefer focusing on the fundamentals over specific tools or languages, with particular interest in Extreme Programming, Domain-Driven Design, and Distributed Systems concepts.

That said, I work comfortably with a broad range of technologies, primarily within the JVM ecosystem and data-intensive systems.

Here are some of the technologies I work with most...

kotlin java kafka spring sql jooq postgres flyway hikaricp protobuf junit mockK mockito testcontainers localstack mockserver wiremock okhttp awaitility gatling resilience4j micrometer datadog opensearch argocd jenkins gradle maven github-actions kubernetes docker git jetbrains c4-model openapi regex json yaml xml vim curl javascript css html python pytest pandas numpy statsmodels scikit-learn jupyter matplotlib shap aws-cli terraform lambda ec2 cognito s3 athena dynamodb cloudfront route53 apigateway sqs sns iam secretsmanager sagemaker

Some exposure to:

go scala reactor r2dbc spark avro rabbitmq ansible packer helm redis oracle-dbms mysql django sqlalchemy flask fastapi k6 jmeter rest-assured cucumber c typescript node jest react angular vue three d3 php bootstrap tailwindcss postcss sass less azure gcp
