The “Outer Glow” which would be used to represent atmosphere has the gradient the wrong way around. It should be thickest nearer the surface.
hi hmm …. so the “outer glow” fx are separate. they can be enlarged or reduced at will.
Changing the size is irrelevant. The gradient should be the other way around. Thickest near the planet and fading as it extends into space.
aso. now i know what you mean.ok. is a matter of opinion. I think it looks more spatial. more rounder .. that surrounds the round planet.
It’s not opinion, it’s fact. Atmosphere is thicker near the surface of a planet and thins as you head out to space.
anyway. I don’t want to argue now either. I created and rendered all planets as 3D. and in my eyes the glow fx looks better, even if it indicates something that the planet is round. after all, the glow fx is about the whole plan. and not just on the edge and then only on the outside.
