These companies actively make that unfeesable. They’d spend the extra money to close the location. Claim it was unprofitable. And hire all new ununionized staff elsewhere.

I want to believe. His opponent is a piece of work themselves. And a former member of Fidesz. But despite only winning 45ish percent of the vote in his last election. Orban won 90ish percent of the districts due to suppression and gerrymandering. Its relatable but soul crushing that a possibly less shit person is their remotely other option.

Yep, last couple of KDE release wallpapers (at least) have been low key really good.

Absolutely.

I technically agree with you but that’s not remotely the point. I’m against the death sentence in totality myself. I think even the petite bourgeoisie would be better handled by hard labor than death. And that the only acceptable time to kill is in actual self-defense. The death penalty for drug crimes is especially stupid. And so are unforced errors like not just sending them have to be another country’s problem and not yours.
When killing becomes an acceptable solution it also becomes the easy solution and the regular solution. Which should be the opposite of what a just Society goes for.

Got any sources? This one says you’re wrong.

Sure

It came up in the new feed on the fediverse a lot recently. But I think it got regularly buried by the people who defend and glaze China constantly. Yes they were accused of drug crimes. The death penalty isn’t a deterrent. As long as the underpinning social problems exist, someone will always rush to refill the gap. Not to mention China’s courts are as corrupt and big a joke as any in the west. Rehabilitation would have been the correct answer. Barring that, China could have just stripped them of citizenship and denied them re-entry. Turning them over to Canada as Canada wanted.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Those in the west unironically said the same things.

China just executed a number of Canadians. Don’t rely on large immovable hierarchies of power to deliver anything resembling justice.

Its true. Though a bit hyperbolic for effect yes. Xi has used the party to eliminate other possible contenders and rivals. Making the “elections” less democratic and merit based than the flawed liberal democracy you’re ridiculing. I’d say it was ironic. But this is literally the sort of behavior people have come to expect from people who behave like you.
Xi and many in the party fall squarely in the definition of bourgeoisie. Your denial doesn’t count for anything.
And about the death penalty only being for bourgeoisie. That’s bullshit too. They simply reclassify anyone they want to kill as bourgeoisie or drug criminal, no harm no foul. Much like the corrupt western nations who’s example they’re following. And if some of these people that they’re killing are bourgeoisie but Xi Jinping is not. You’re using a very hypocritical definition.
Your criticisms of unsubstantiated nonsense would carry more weight if you weren’t projecting BTW. Not one of these large states or their mouthpieces are trustworthy. Not the US, not Canada, not Russia, not China, etc etc etc. Be consistent. If you’re only going to accept the word of China. You’ve no business criticizing anyone over unsubstantiated nonsense.

Who do you think is the bourgeoisie in China and why do you think Xi, who has to win reelection every time and started as a farm boy in rural China is somehow an unanswerable dictator?
He’s president for life. He no longer faces election. The bourgeoisie can come from anywhere and any class. There is no background that makes you immune from becoming part of the bourgeoisie. But in the future I’ve got this handy trick you can use to identify bourgeoisie. I call it the “definition”.
Like you understand China regularly executes billionaires, strips companies of their power and wealth, including and especially all executives, nationalizes the resources of the rich on a VERY consistent basis, and has no function for rich people to influence government, right?
China regularly murders all those who cross the party. Bourgeoisie and proletariat alike. It’s not a virtue. That the party allows and supports the existence of such a petit bourgeoisie in any capacity is damning to anyone who isn’t a hypocrite campist. That you think the wealthy and powerful have no purchase or influence over themselves is cute though.
I don’t take the US government at it’s word. And I’m not such a gullible fool to take China’s at theirs like some people either. My family suffered genocide at the hands of the US, Canada, and the Soviet Union. I’ve met people who themselves or their family been targeted by chinas government for oppression. If you want to dismiss every non Chinese government source, that’s willfully ignorant, but consistent. Just like the liberals so many that glaze China claim hate while behaving so similar.
Only a complete ninnyhammer would blame the CIA for every criticism of China’s government.

It’s not a flaw of liberal democracy. Its a flaw of unanswerable heirachies of power. You know, the sort of thing the parties and Xi are speed running. There have been decent leaders under liberal democracy. But power in the form of bourgeoisie money always interferes. Just as the power of the bourgeoisie in China in the form of the party and those in power interferes.

Eeeh videos have their time and place. Generally it’s easier for me to pull up an article and get the gist in 30 seconds than sit watching a 5 to 10 minute video to get the same. And out in public. People playing loud shit on their phone generally annoys me, and I’m not a hypocrite.
When I’m home, its videos all evening. I think it’s more about expectation and disappointment. Videos in video communities are bread and butter. Videos in communities that are largely articles are jarring and abrasive.

Movie adaptation when?

Yes, they fired all the competent and knowledgeable people. Replaced them with frat boys, yes men, and ass kissers.

Honestly in a lot of ways that’s kind of what it’s like. Discover but woth a central unified Repository for all distros.

My biggest gripe about it is it uses gtk. Other than that it’s fantastic. It’s an awesome way to discover and keep your flatpaks up to date.

For family I’ve been pushing Bazaar. Depending on distro, discover can be lacking on integration. Updating some packages but not others. If your distro does flatpak, and it does. It’s click bang done most of the time. No PPAs, or several user/community repos to cock you up randomly.
Personally I like native and rolling release. But I’ve been using Linux for 30 plus years. When you just need it to work and be a relatively recent release. Can’t argue with results.

Yep. Purely for interface simplicity mint is gonna feel a lot more familiar to people fleeing windows. Yes Ubuntu can install the same DE or even KDE. But it’s not the default. And that confuses people.
If you unionize the location mysteriously becomes unprofitable and they have to shut it down leaving everyone without a job. If you burn it down, the location closes leaving everyone without a job. But costing the bastards who can’t spare the profit to pay their workers a fair wage Millions. The arrangements of the unions was never please please Mr Boss Man can we be allowed to live too. It was paying us a fair wage or you might wake up dead in your own bed.
