PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•The sequel to Garry's Mod releases this month, and Valve will let you publish your creations as standalone Steam games, like dafty Finn sim My Summer CottageEnglish
7·8 days agoGood question, I looked it up:
dafty Finn sim My Summer Cottage
dafty is a slang term used in the UK, particularly in Scotland and Northern England, to describe a person who acts silly or foolish.
The rest is because the premise is based on an earlier simulator game (by a different developer afaik) My Summer Car, which also takes place in Finland (though that is the 1990s)

1·27 days agoI wanted something Wes Andersony after watching The Phoenician Scheme (which I LOVED) and put on Submarine. It’s a small budget British coming of age movie. I thought it was funny and enjoyed most of it, the acting and editing especially, but the plot felt like it was trying to do too much in the end. I’d recommend if you like Wes Anderson and The Inbetweeners!

2·28 days agoI’ve been slowly replaying The Long Dark to prepare for the final episode to release, only a few weeks left! I’m part way though episode 2 so far and I’ve never played episode 4 so it’ll be a lot of new stuff.
I’ve also played a bit of Lucid Blocks which is pretty much a perfect little twist on a Minecraft style game. Exploring the world is weird and fun, and the crafting system feels very vibes-based but is learnable (especially by stamping recipes in the book). Definitely worth a few hours if you have that Minecraft itch but don’t want to play the regular game. Also it’s made with Godot!
Cairn looks so good! I played a lot of Baby Steps last year so I think I’ll enjoy it whenever I pick it up
It looks good, I’ll have to make it!
