Meanwhile if you hit the adjacent letters on “the” or the like it will happily just decide that you that "twe, thr, rhe and so on noncapitalized are legitimate words that make sense in the place of an article, and saves them for future use.

1·5 days agoWell how could it not be? Genetically it’s just two random people, what would be the basis of making it illegal if at some point your parents hit off?
Minivans/MPVs are so much better family cars in practice it isn’t even funny.
They are comfier. Less ground clearance drives better and is more economical. They are actually effective at occasional cargo hauling. And so on. Luckily they seem on the uptick, SUVs are a devolution in practical aspects.

4·11 days agoGenerally not believing in human rights comes as a package deal.
Perhaps, though schooling is often struggles to promote solutions that are not efficiency first. In fact as far as I’ve experienced colleges and universities often benchmark the courseload so most will resort to shortcuts that save time and reduce learning.
Of course there are always those who take the path of least resistance, but outside actual prodigies schooling is designed for priorization for those with higher aspirations too.
Not a valueless skill of course, but I’ve often wondered if the courses tight scheduling squeezes in manage to compensate for shoddier fundamentals of the trade and more knowing things to be tested.

2·15 days agoWell the specifics in other religions are a little different but all have a part about pushing your moral responsibility and development on something else. You are never at fault, or are always at fault so it doesn’t matter. And even if it doesn’t matter you apply scripture so facing legal punishment is unnecessary.
Religion is for people of no morals or intelligence to supplant both.

2·15 days agoThe point of religion is to place yourself above societal ethics with an excuse not to feel bad about failing to match them since your deity loves child molesters or however anyway.

1·19 days agoOrganizing a religion that emphasizes freedom and tries to incorporate all our likes or dislikes into it is one test of religious freedom I’ve always wanted to make.
After all if you can globally mutilate children and harass every single other group in existence for religious purposes surely we can be allowed total media freedom, subsidies for our cultural high quality food and preferred parking for our subsidized luxury cars for our starter sacred privileges in society?

People could and do try to make atheists change, however delusions without basis are hard to instill in rational people.

5·24 days agoYeah, you buy food just to throw it away by this logic.
In reality the vast majority of the workload may be formatting and word choice that is quite far from thinking.
And then you’re getting a bachelor’s degree and because you’re big dumb dumb who doesn’t really know anything, your task is to collate and paraphrase something not dumb people thought, maybe applying it to some case you have, but not thinking independently.
A masters thesis can have just a little bit of thinking as a, treat, but most leave school before they reach levels where one thinks when writing.
Ah so, it’s not only Finland where the point of Physical Education is to humiliate all the joy of athletics out of the vast majority of generations of people.
Except the up and coming hockey players the washed up sportsman/woman who was hired to teach as a sort of social program gives all their attention to. Guess those have different sports abroad.
But really it seems so efficient that the state makes schools focus on competition, subsidize competitive team sports heavily, and hire subsidized people from professional sports to further the subsidized hobbies of the maybe future professionals.
The end result is billions in subsidies and that most people who can’t hack it professionally just quit sports alltogether in their teens or even earlier.
I just quite can’t see how are they actually trying to go public health first with which the tax expenses are excused.

And I used to think the “secret dastardly plan diary” -files scattered around in Resident Evil and the like were silly B-movie stuff that obviously would not be written down in the real world.
But no, they’re assigned in company strategy meetings and politicians just hit their sex slave supplier on Gmail with “Heya yo haave sum tasty kiids to fuck in Cali thiss wekend?”
