not necessarily. Toyota uses planetary gears which also change transmission without discrete “gear shifting”. Although going fully EV removes that necessity of course.

But since GrapheneOS works quite well with Banking Apps, there should be no technical issue with Wero. In any case my point was simply that GrapheneOS is no impediment to using Wero.

Wero works fine with GrapheneOS. Used it myself already multiple times. Most banks do not even use the Wero App but instead integrate it into their own Apps anyways.
