Your info is right, but the last two sentences are uncalled for.
That was condescending. They likely phrased it that way because they thought the other poster didn’t know. Not that they just found out. You were rude.

1·3 years agoI didn’t mean they didn’t exist at all. I meant they aren’t popular everywhere. I’m not arguing that we simply went straight from horse and buggy to every person having cars and a few places had mass transit. Mass transit was everywhere. It was an option for most people. Yes, most goods did transition to being transported by 18 wheelers. I’m not arguing we had 18 wheelers and horse drawn carriages, but that we had them along street cars and trains meant to transport goods and people. Next time I’ll try to be more clear.

51·3 years agoWe had street cars. We had trains transport people. We had real mass transit. It was all killed by the auto lobbyists.

It says “all my homes” not “homies”.
You had a typo. They made a joke.
Oh, it’s not the first time through. It’s such a great series. I think this is the third time. I don’t remember books very well, so I have to reread them when a new one comes out to remember the context.
Awe, that’s unfortunate. Was it the mystery that made it interesting for you?
This is such a glowing review. I think I’ll check it out.
How’s that? Why interesting, but not what you like?
My six year old asked me if dvd’s were used when I was a kid in the 50’s. I’m 32. 3,000 years for VHS tracks.

World News@lemmy.world•A volcanic eruption has started in Iceland, estimated to be ten times more powerful than previous eruption in the area
1·3 years agoVolcanoes typically erupt with a lot of ash which blocks the sun and cools the planet. Get a big enough volcano and the earth stays cooler for years, disrupting crops and creating a potential famine.

Google it isn’t proof, but thanks.
