As I understand it there are dozens of similar cases already started. The precedent is what’s meaningful

the maximum penalty under the law of $5,000 per violation
This is far too low in this context. Perhaps it should be a percentage of annual revenue or profit or something instead of a fixed amount.

The first prompt is pretty bad. Information is shared through instruction and guides.

Fun but pretty short. Honestly wouldn’t mind an infinite, procedurally generated level offering to address replayability
It seems very easy to badly design a smart home though. For example adding devices to an ecosystem using your personal email. When selling the house you’d have to remove all devices and have the new owners set up everything again one by one. Seems unavoidable until better transfer tools exist OR linking everything to a “house email” OR having everything local and leaving behind the server

If the footage has left your premises and stored on someone else’s machine (the cloud), it’s now out of your control. It could be accessed by an employee, accidentally deleted/tampered, or handed over to a government entity without your knowledge. This applies to any brand of security cameras as well as file storage providers and even VPNs
When motivated enough, governments can and do seize servers from data centers. A lot of the time companies rent them, so these vendors can’t even directly guarantee their physical safety

Personally the combination of Chromium and being in beta is not appealing to me. But also I only really use Chromium browsers for development testing these days

You can install any app on it. That’s in the FAQ. I believe it means messaging apps are specifically given first-class support on the home screen dashboard and notification LED

That would be maddening. It seems wild that all of these voice assistants (LLM or no) are a decade old and still have very basic issues and limitations. I wonder if these huge companies are bad at product development or if it’s simply a doomed category?

The Xmas in Frisco station has some interesting finds. This is a good example

I think two things can be true…
One doesn’t forgive, justify, or defend the other though

Pretty sure if you downloaded/updated from within the app you should be fine, as the threat is for net new installs

They’re a powerless middleman, no?
Oracle owns Cerner, the largest IT medical provider. No major competitor either, since they’re multinational and most competitors are single country or regional
